LOL

When have you ever seen ANY of those stats discussed anywhere. I never have.

How bout this, Shula was once again badly out coached in the playoffs. See how easy that is? No digging in charts for days to find.

:)

So we were in the playoffs? Huh? Where did we finish up in the South? I haven't really been paying attention.

BTW, drive stats are used often and discussed often with gamblers (along with other factors as well)

I should have ignored him to begin with. I could tell he was the type to argue in circles that would break down into straw man, and ad hominem.

he may have been doing this .... but i've only seen YOU doing this. look in the mirror. take a pill. whatever you need, just take it down a notch k admiral?

This isnt really a perfect example because if I follow this logic all the way through, you would be saying that someone who shoots 5 free throws all year and makes all 5 of them is better than someone who scored 40 out of 50.

True. Which is why you would not use one half of football (generally around 4/ 5 possessions) to determine overall performance for a season

As someone else said, sample size also matters

Everyone knows that trying to draw a correlation between cause and effect is circular logic.

I'm not saying it's ineffective, I'm saying wr > te position. Pats have a system. They still experiencing the same success with NO TE. They don't have either one. They're once again the championship game

Ok you upgrade OL, teams stack the box like they've done all year, then what? We back to "receiver make sure if this pass hit your hands you catch it cause 95% of the time if you dont it'll turn into a pick". Im not saying don't upgrade our OL, but at the end of the day you can't have your QB be your biggest playmaker. He stay QB and get playmakers

They also have Tom freakin' Brady.  Cam isn't on that level, yet anyway; if ever.  His tools may translate success, but Tom Brady is doing things Cam may never do.  They still ran it- to your point that it's a phase.  And saying it's a phase is like saying it's something gimmicky like the Wildcat which is so very incorrect.

I've thought about a few different ways to address WR>TE, but really it's all pretty straight forward.  Fix the run game/pass protection, 2 TEs will in fact spread the field and since we'll run more playaction, a #28 overall prospect isn't exactly going to be pulling targets away from Ginn, Smitty, and Olsen.  So supplement a 4th option for an athletic TE that will cause even more havoc along with Olsen who all are more likely facing LBs and Ss at the end of the day.

Our best games this year came from an effective run game.  With the state of this franchise's cap situation this would go further for the team in the long run.  WR wasn't the biggest reason we lost games this year.

Sounded like G-man was trying to prepare us all for the real possibility that we might have to let Hardy walk.

Just like Rivera, I find G-man's candor refreshing... even when he won't answer a question he's very candid and sometimes funny about it.

We're lucky to have these guys, in both Gettleman AND Rivera I trust.

Some of you guys are retarded on an exceptional level.

"If we don't draft all the receiverz we 8-8 on the horizon next year!"

It'll be awfully hard for Cam to get the ball to those receivers throwing off of his ass cheeks.

Yup, good teams are built from the front to back and up the middle... Gettleman knows this and he's looking for more Hog Mollies. It doesn't mean we're going to totally ignore the WR position, but the priority will be to get the protection squared away first.

It's amazing how much better a QB and his receiving corp gets when they have enough time to get open and the QB has enough time to get them the ball.
