Someone brought up the offense and needing more fire power and WR position. DG just responded "would I like to score 30 points a game? Of course"

Y'all are crazy if you think DG just laid his draft blueprint down for all to easily follow along. We got some Nostradumbasses trying to read the man. Draft is almost 5 months away.

he praised hurney for drafting this young core. than specifically said "for drafting Cam" that this was the best possible situation for a new GM to be in and that he had picked right.

We have RBs like Gore and Lynch. Dwill is faster than both and Stew has about the same power as Gore. Lynch is in his own league with Charles. The problem is there was no push or hole generated from the O line thus no running game. That is why Cam had to ball it out this year. Fix the Oline and everything improves (run game, cam has more time to find wrs, wrs have more time to get open) a run game also commits an extra man in the box which will help the passing game. Domino effect. We saw how the dominos fell with fixing the d-line.

 

Stewart won't even suit up and Deanglo falls to the ground after being chipped. Oh and let's just kill this rumour that an O-Line will let our receivers get open, it won't and it doesn't. Cam has scrambled for YEARS without one of receivers ever coming close to separating. Watch the fuging film, or hell just the games.

Yes, I like the fact he didn't throw Hurney under the bus with the cap issue.  Very classy of D.G.  I feel really good if he can put together a team with an ol that can push and get the vintage 08 run game going because with our wr core, we will be dangerous just like we were Cam's first 2 years but without Cam burning himself out running up and down the field, and throwing the ball up and down the field.  I think Cam does get exhausted and when he's tired it has got to be hard to accurately throw a ball on target.

 

Strong ol means smash mouth clock burning offense.  I can't wait.

i have no problems with that but we HAVE to draft a reciever early for Cam. I was all for fixing the d-line last year because i thought the overall team would improve, which it did.

 

We need recievers for Cam, bottom line. Good thing is we can fix both in this draft and FA i think.

The press conference was fine. I wanted to see our coaching staff improve, not just the status qua. At least Ron said they will take a look at themselves and try to improve. Hopefully that means Ron telling Shula to get his ass in gear.

 

Gettleman basically said the running back position was a thorn in his side.

 

I don't know if it was his intention but he kind of made it sound like Greg Hardy is tough to deal with and maybe not worth the money.

Not able to watch the presser live but it looks like a couple people want to cancel next season based on a 30 minute dog and pony show.  Cant believe DG is so close minded as to not see all of the team needs.

If Cam has time, I really do think Ginn is a touchdown scorer.  He added one piece this past season that saw action so you have to think that he will add another piece this year.  He did good with what he had to work with so I am pleased as well.
