Man, this is the first year I've not been optimistic about our chances in the upcoming year. It just feels like it's going to be the same story different year.

DG mentions hog mollies being the difference between them and SF/Sea. Looks like Cam will be weaponless again next year. Pretty obvious the difference is dam playmakers

You're forgetting what he said early on.

Gettleman related a word he got from Tom Coughlin that you win with "big men" and "touchdown scorers".

He hasn't gotten away from that.  Nobody really asked much about the receiver spot, honestly.

Then what? Overpay hakeem nicks?

Well that's up to what Gettleman has seen in FA.  People automatically assume WR is the biggest need on offense but really a 2nd TE capable of stretching the field will do just as well for the offense to operate.  Ginn will be back, he's a fine route runner and his hands haven't been as suspect as people say.  At that point, you don't have to hit a homerun on a future #1 receiver, you can then look for a 3rd WR who is then just a 4th option.

Panthers OL is in shambles.  Gettleman is going to have to find 3 solid OL this year.  By all means, use FA..  but if the prospects are there, I won't be mad if they go with younger players they feel have major upside.

Shula is back. Shula doesn't know how to utilize our current players, yet alone utilize new players.

I feel like we're already fuged. Let's hope we draft DB and go for a lights out defense again.

We have RBs like Gore and Lynch. Dwill is faster than both and Stew has about the same power as Gore. Lynch is in his own league with Charles. The problem is there was no push or hole generated from the O line thus no running game. That is why Cam had to ball it out this year. Fix the Oline and everything improves (run game, cam has more time to find wrs, wrs have more time to get open) a run game also commits an extra man in the box which will help the passing game. Domino effect. We saw how the dominos fell with fixing the d-line.

"stah set the bah"

lolol

Something tells me the Boston accent is the subject of a lot of jokes within the team facilities

Shula did do a good job. With limited great players.

How much better did Ron Rivera look coaching a roster put together with Gettleman as opposed to Hurney?
