Upon further review, we should go o line in 1st round instead of receiver

this debate could go on forever...but in reality, Getty has said this team will be built

from the lines out.....and with Hardy practically gone, don't be surprised if we

take a OT or a  DE in the first.

Amazing how many holes a team that wins 12 games can have.

That will piss me off so fuging much if he watched this game and decides to pick a DE...

Weapons weapons weapons, no use having a line or a defense when your qb has no one to throw to...

Giants fans were screaming when they took Jason PP with 2 good de's on the team.

granted JPP is very good, but look at the Giants now with so many holes that weren't fixed.

What???????? I really dont care which way we go first. Whether that's OT, CB, or WR.

but you're going to tell me that guys like Britt, Nicks, Harvin, Maclin, Crabtree, Bryant, Thomas, Green Jones, Floyd, Wright, and Blackmon are not legitimate game changers? It's too early to make anything out of Austin, Hopkins, and Patterson, but they have produce when given the opportunity. The only busts on that list is DHB, Jenkins, and Baldwin.

Is this a "failed" thread?

There are some very good OL guys to be had in free agency.

Meanwhile, look at the WR free agents. There's a small handful of guys you want as your WR2, but the rest are 3rd and 4th string. It's paltry at best.

Def.

If we cant retain Hardy or say tag and trade Hardy, we could really use that money on an OT and even more. Michael Oher and Rodger Saffold are real options.

Yesterday we saw first hand what having a stud receiving core can do for a QB of Kaepernick's caliber. We had no answer for Boldin and Crabtree made some clutch grabs...Davis caught a touchdown that changed all momentum right before the half.

Our offensive line needs work, no doubt, but getting Amini and Kugbila back should create stiff competition at both guard competitions. Lets not act like Amini Silatolu is a scrub. He was actually playing pretty well overall when he went down and has the athleticism and physical ability to be a great guard for us for a long time. In between Gross and Kalil he will learn the mental aspects...the injury just hurts his progression and experience. I have a feel Gross will be back for another year or two.

We can find good talent at the right tackle position in the second or even third round. Any guy selected there is going to give Bell a run for his money and he will provide valuable depth. It's pathetic how often Cam had to take coverage sacks this season. Even with good protection up front he was forced to hold the ball far too long because of the lack of talent at the receiver position.

Look at the free agent WRs we have and tell me we don't need to draft a WR early.

Yup. Boldin was the game changer yesterday or SF.

SF Oline also outplayed us. We just really need to address both position right now. And, I hope that Gettleman is a smart enough man that he will take advantage of it in FA and the Draft. Dont be cheap.

If we can corral an offensive line starter or two in free agency, then this thread could likely be moot. I'm assuming we won't get any of these top guys though through free agency.

All I'm hoping for the first three rounds is BPA from these personnel groups: OL, WR, or DB. No preferred order. The secondary held up surprisingly well for a large portion of the season, but it still needs an infusion of young blue-chip talent. If HaHa Clinton-Dix is sitting there at pick 28, you take a long look at him, IMO.

We better be able to bring Mitchell back or "safety" will def  be the pick in the 1st round.

I think Calvin Pryor from Louisville may be better. Brings the wood and has an excellent nose for the ball
