If Norv Turner Leaves?

I don't want to take anything away AT ALL from our defense.  They beasted out this season.

But, there is a direct correlation, between how our offense played this season, our defensive rankings, and our win loss record.  They all worked intertwined with one another this season.  High risk high reward did not cut it the last two seasons.  This season, it was less aggressive, but very methodical and adequately efficient.

It may not be as flashy or splashy as other offenses, but our offense did a pretty darn good job this season, and that benefited the defense tremendously.

Not saying the offense is perfect, or can't improve.  But they weren't as bad as you guys are making it out to be.

Nope. Shula will probably be back next season.

Fans always hate their OCs. We hated Henning, then Davidson, then Chud, now Shula. If we hired Norv we would hate him too.

all great examples of reasons to hate your OC..  Chud was our best and even he was too busy crop dusting our offense to see how many flies he could attract to poo..

This. fug Cam we know what's best for him. It's like when you have that buddy that's in a relationship with a slut and he "loves" her. Sometimes you just got to tell him she's no good for you man.

While I agree he would thrive in a more aggressive system, I couldn't help but LOL at the idea that we (huddle) know what is best for him.

Chud was a good OC, but he had other things on his mind...

Henning was always way, way too conservative for me (3rd down draw anyone?) but that was Foxball, so it fit.

I think Shula did an OK job... the playcalls on offense are so obvious and everybody's an expert so OC's get a lot of poo.

I think Norv would do well here, but we won't get him I doubt.  When you go 12-4 it's kind of hard to justify firing the guy.

We really dont have to fire Shula, he can go back to being the QB coach

We scored TDs on 58% of our red zone visits this season.  That is good for top 10 in the league

9 of 16 games were against top half of the NFL defenses.

So one game doesn't make me want to fire everyone.  If you look at the entire body of work this season we were pretty successful on offense.

That is unless you judge everything by total yardage and/or total points.

We can still improve however.

Its why he want get fired. Still think Norv or chud are better game managers though.
