Nostradamus I  am not.  I just look at the likely BPA at our position and our needs.  With Luke he was clearly the BPA at our pick.  With Cam, we had to have a franchise QB.  With Star, we had to plug the hole in the defensive-line up.  At this point, its too early to say who is going to be there to make more than a guess.  It kinda is just who do I want and what is our greatest needs.  Lets see how the combines and workouts go and then we will have a better idea.  I just know that we really need a receiver that can go up and get a ball ala AJ Green or Calvin.  It would help Cam who throws high a lot and also help in the End zone.  

 

How did you know with Luke when you didnt really know the health condition of Beason at the time?

In the 2011 season we lost both Linebackers early.  It hurt our defense badly.  I felt that Davis's return was questionable coming off his 3rd torn acl.  Beason had torn his achiles tendon, very tough injury to come back from.  I felt that we needed the insurance because we sure didnt want to go another season short linebackers and damn Lukes highlights were amazing.

What do you guys think. I really want to get Cam and this offense a playmaking Wide out. What are my fellow huddle friends wanting and thinking will realistically be available with the 28th pick?

Right now, I am hoping for Kelvin Benjamin, but my mind can definitely change. By the way, I have correctly picked the past 3 years first picks and got the players that I wanted in Cam, Luke and Star.

EVERYONE wanted Star, but who in their right mind saw him sliding all the way to 14 last January? I love draft talk too but mock drafts outside of the top 3-5 picks are pointless (and even then sometimes).

Nobody was confident it would happen, but I honestly thought there was a chance he would slide because of the heart condition would possibly scare teams.  That is what happened.  I was ecstatic when he was sitting there, just hoped that Gettleman wasnt scared too.
