With the 28th pick in the NFL draft

The Carolina Panthers select ......................................

What do you guys think.  I really want to get Cam and this offense a playmaking Wide out.  What are my fellow huddle friends wanting and thinking will realistically be available with the 28th pick?

Right now, I am hoping for Kelvin Benjamin, but my mind can definitely change.   By the way, I have correctly picked  the past 3 years first picks and got the players that I wanted in Cam, Luke and Star.

Then you might as well just tell us who the Panthers are going to select.

Nostradamus I  am not.  I just look at the likely BPA at our position and our needs.  With Luke he was clearly the BPA at our pick.  With Cam, we had to have a franchise QB.  With Star, we had to plug the hole in the defensive-line up.  At this point, its too early to say who is going to be there to make more than a guess.  It kinda is just who do I want and what is our greatest needs.  Lets see how the combines and workouts go and then we will have a better idea.  I just know that we really need a receiver that can go up and get a ball ala AJ Green or Calvin.  It would help Cam who throws high a lot and also help in the End zone.

We need a RB upgrade

Not with the first round pick.  I think our running game issues is with the hog mollies.  I would be okay with a hog mollie if the right one was there.  But we have to get a wide out in the first 2 rounds.

No one knows. I'm sad over today, happy to be NFC South Champs to have bragging rights over our rivals, happy to have draft position over Seattle and San Fran, and happy to actually have a first round pick (LMFAO@Indy&Washington). BPA WR, OL, DB, or maybe even an elite TE.

    • Panthers are clearly not worried about cap space so why are we?
    • Other than being the offseason and there isn't much to talk about, why does anyone worry about the cap? We can do whatever we want and still have cap space. You don't think the front office hasn't already figured it out and what they intend to do. Me I am just sitting back and watching. After all my job isn't on the line if we lose. Although at my age we don't have forever if I am going to live to see us play in another superbowl
    • I get the TD's and I pointed it out, but like I said, when Burrow had more than double the TD's than Geno had, I think Higgins increased TDs compared to DK was more a product of Burrow and the Bengals offense than because of him vs DK as WRs. When one of their QB's finished 4th in MVP voting despite missing the playoffs and the other was just traded for a late 3rd round pick and replaced by Sam Darnold, I think that's a tough narrative to brush aside to just look at raw stats as well. Again, swap DK and Higgins last year, do you honestly believe DK wouldn't have put up better stats than Higgins did? Contracts and trade compensation aside, I'm taking DK over Higgins 100 out of 100 times, there is no debate about it for me.
