I would say we need at least 2 guys, this class is pretty deep. We need those high picks.

gettleman wont do this... the cost to move up is too high. we need all our picks to add talent. im not holding my breath on us adding any big name free agents, not with hardy contract and newton extension on the horizon. you can still find talented WR in the late first round, Demarius Thomas comes to mind

ASJ looks to be a great prospect but I like Ebron better.

 

-Better blocker, room for improvement

-Hometown product

-Athletic, quick for his size with excellent body control and route running

-Good hands, room for improvement

-No off-the-field issues or character issues reported

 

Drawbacks

 

-Occasionally a WTF drop

-Not quite as big as ASJ

-Sometimes gets beat when blocking, sometimes takes bad angles on screen blocks

Only way I'd consider that move is if I thought that a: the rest of the receiving class wasn't good and b: if that were the only weakness on our team.

Im all for it, but unfortunately we have no assets and the only players anyone would ever trade a first rounder for are luke, cam, and star, and those three players are untouchable

 

This isnt basketball where you trade a top player for pick(s).

 

This is the NFL where you trade present and future picks for pick.

I was just replying to the OP. he made a thread just a little while ago about ASJ. I'm not a ASJ fan.

But I really like Ebron, athletic as hell. And that's what we need. He's a playmaker and a big target. But unless we use Hardy to trade up, Ebron will be long gone.
