2014 WR Free Agents

Here is how I see it, and I realize there are many ways to do this:

Hakeem Nicks:  I do not see us going there or he would already be here (see "Beason Trade" and note that he was not included).  In addition, large salaries on IR are not good, and Nicks stays banged up.

Kenny Britt:,

Britt is no stranger to trouble since the Titans drafted him in the first round in 2009:

His list of problems have included:

• Outstanding traffic warrrants for false statements on his driver's license application.

• Ticket for driving without a license.

• Lawsuit over his alleged role in a Nashville bar fight.

• Arrest after a car chase.

• Charges for resisting arrest after police confronted him over what they thought was marijuana possession.

  • DWI

In June 2011, Britt took to Facebook to threaten to retire from the league, and was critical of commissioner Roger Goodell.

Not sure we need Kenny Britt

We have Smitty whose role was reduced by about 20% this season.  I expect it to be reduced another 10% this year.  Ginn does not run the entire route tree effectively, so he should be the #3 WR and KR-besides his hands are suspect.  I do not see re-signing Lafell regardless of his salary--he occupies a roster spot--we do not upgrade our weapons by re-signing the same players.  I also want to see what King and McNutt can provide as the #4 WRs.

We need a veteran and a rookie who can change the way we attack the defense.  Cam is not that accurate--he needs tall targets with excellent hands.

Agreed.

I want Benjamin though.

Smith to the slot...maybe not....let him play #1 until someone takes it from him.

Smith has alluded multiple times that he'd like to be in the slot and have a true #1 come in to help him out.

Smitty is smart and has a lot of pride but even he knows he is older now and I'd bet he WANTS someone to pass the torch to, just like Moose did to him.

He has said in interviews before that the new guys aren't like they used to be and no one really comes to him or seems like they want to take up the torch...

Would love to get Andre Johnson for a couple of years, but I can't see it happening.  Benjamin probably will not be around when we pick.  The kid out of Vanderbilt might be a more likely pick for us.

I would also like to see up pick up Michael Campanaro via undrafted free agent.   He has good hands, is a solid route runner, and has similar size and speed to Wes Welker.  Probably won't work out and I wouldn't want to waste a draft pick on him, but it would be worth a shot.

No to Britt. Would love Decker but I say he gets re-signed. Let Lafell go and pick up a Maclin or Baldwin. Take a flyer on Nicks if he can humble himself to take what Getts tells him he's worth. Draft WR/TE in the first or second depending on who's available. Problem solved. Except for all those other problems(CB,S,OT,OG,DE).

I think we will add atleast one via draft to fight for a field spot. If it is matthews or moncrief im saying he is on the field a lot.

Decker would be fuging awesome to have.. we don't have many "sure fire" players on the panthers and he is one. Greg Olsen and Smitty are the clutchest we have. Emmanuel Sanders I would love to have.. because he is football smart, he knows routes like matthews.

But I trust the GM. IM just sooooo pumped for next season. Hopefully we still have our solid D together and we are adding on to the O.

Cant wait. Keep pounding brothas
