Poor Hixon

Thanks for pointing that out so maybe you are right.  However, I still would have liked Hixon in there and the combination you mentioned would have been good but not giving Hixon a chance when he has played in big games seems senseless to me as a hc that wants to do whatever it takes to win.

You do realize Smith was having knee issues 2nd half right?  so in reality, Ginn,LaFell, Hizon would have been better, thats 3 fully healthy WR's to catch the ball plus a TE...  not 2 1/2 WR's...

I am not a status quo type of person and neither was Harbaugh, he parted ways with his started for a one read wonder. Just because the masses think one thing doesn't make it right. There are more poor people in this world than there are afluent persons but is being poor the best way to live? For those that are poor it is but to those that made it out of the rat race, that wasn't a choice. So again thanks for your opinion.

We use 3 WR thats it.

Brees.. Manning.. Brady.. Rodgers.. Ussually gets the ball to almost 10 diff people a game.

We have King, Williams.. we never use. Barner can catch the ball as well. We give the other teams less things to focus on.

I love rubbing this in, but someone explain why we drafted Barner again? And why we've consistently wasted talent like this in the past?

Because it's usually they have some kind of flaw that shows up practices.  For whatever reason we as a fanbase always feel like the answer is somehow on the roster somewhere and coaches who watch players every day in practice refuse to see it.  Speaking logically, do you guys actually think we have guys that have starter talent or better just sitting on the bench and there is no reason for it?    Every player in the NFL has a college youtube highlight tape.   Remember Joe Adams, Armanti Edwards, etc etc.  When those guys get in a real game their flaws are exposed.

Hixon should be in instead of Lafell. I could play tackle better than Bell. Klein should be playing for Blackburn. Barner should be a slot receiver. That's all on Ron.

Hixon should be in instead of Lafell.  Maybe. But maybe just maybe there was a reason he was available? Injuries not as good a blocker or something else.

I could play tackle better than Bell.  Who else was going to play that position on the team?  Do we have a stud RT sitting on the bench we don't know about?

Klein should be playing for Blackburn.  Should be? That's one of those youth vs experience things.  Both had made plays this year so I don't think it was a really big drop off in either direction.

Barner should be a slot receiver.  How do you know he could be a viable NFL slot receiver? You think it's just easy to do that?  Do you see how Cam fires balls in there? Do you really think he could catch those on a consistent basis?

Trying to make this seem like a no brainer is .... reactionary.  I think you need to wait a few days and let the pain heal.

    • Because being a pauper in the NFL is still making a king's ransom. NFL vet min is roughly 18x the median salary in the U.S.
    • At some point I sense it's gonna create some hate and locker room cancer between these cap hogs and the rest of the players. When the top 6 or 7 players take 80% of the cap, the other 40 plus guys are gonna get pissed off, especially when they're still only winning 5 or 6 games. Why put everything on the line to play with guys who are only in it for themselves?
    • I am just spitballing here--let it play out and I will go to bed: Let's say Mahome's contract comes due and he insists on $100m per season.  Is there a team that would find the money to pay it?  Would KC? It was in 2015 (I think) when Cam was getting $20m and it was hard to grasp.  In the past decade, the price of a franchise QB has tripled.  Then the next QB bases his contract on the Mahomes deal.  The trend has been the last QB contract is the highest.  I see nothing to discourage that trend--Greed can destroy a league.  Personally, I don't watch baseball any more, and the NBA has a small group of about 8 teams that appear on national TV and they have players who make more than some eastern block countries.  Ticket prices go up---and we are headed for pay-per-view very soon across the board-
