Austin Seferian-Jenkins on the back end of the first.

Jenkins is a fine player, but outside of Ebron, I can't see the justification in drafting any TE in R1 for us...  Unless we have some FA plans to bolster our WR corps...  Then maybe I could see Jenkins fitting in...  But I'd still say at that point OT is a bigger need...

Everyone wants a WR.

Just watch...we will draft the best OL hogmolly available and it will pay off.

Agree. Fix the OLine and DB's first, IMO.  Remember Hog Mollies.  We need a run game.  Running the ball makes passing easier.  Fix the DB's and no one can score against the Panthers...the front 7 are having to make up for the secondary.  If you can trust the secondary to do their job the Panthers front 7 is lethal.  Hopefully we can pick up a receiver that strengthens that position.  Elite will need to wait.

You can bring in all the hog mollys you want but keep dont have a good WR  group just keeps us as a 1 trick pony and that OL is going to be constantly taking 5+ rushers.  Much easier for an OL to block 4 guys vs 5-6+ plus.  We had the Hogs in 08 and 05 just could only get you so far.  SuperBowl team had Worse OL across the board but had Young Smitty, Moose, and Proehl. The WRs kept the D from stacking the box and blitzing a ton.  Big Ben had what most called one of the bottom 2-3 OL in the NFL when they won. Baltimore OL wasnt World Beaters, they had stacked D across the board and Weapons for their young QB which help open us for Rice.  We have much much bigger problems at WR and DB.  We can get the Big Guys but this is about as far as you get just wont get over the hump.

I did not say that we should never  focus on receivers.  There are 3 major areas of need and you can't do them all at once.  Panthers lost the game at the line of scrimmage....no run ame, could not score from the 1 yd line, no pressure on Kaepernick because front 7 has to make up for the secondary and gave up to much in the run game. If we had 2 of 3 areas of need fixed today (Oline and DB) Panthers would have won today.  Next...focus on receiver talent and the Panthers blow everyone away.

Proehl will make Benjamin live on the jugs machine, but he's a little raw. Man though, the talent and physical tools are all there. He's a physical specimen who high points the ball and would be a lethal redzone threat. Expected to run around a 4.5. I think he's another Dez Bryant type talent.

If Dennard is there in the first I think you have to consider him too, he'd be a true number 1 CB.

Would Love for Dennard or Gilbert to be there then jump on Matthews or Moncrief who should fall with WR depth in the 2nd but they won't.

Need 2 WR's and 2 DB's via rounds 1-2 and FA.  And 3rd DB.  Do what we can to lock up Hardy to because we lose him we are back to square 1 with Tampa.  Front 7 with Strong Gettleman style DL carried this team this year.  Take a major piece of that front 7 away and we struggle to make the playoffs

Remember Hog Mollies. Remember "touchdown guys"? yea, we have none.

But, we do need to fix the right side of the OL. I just prefer WR before OL : (1) WR (2) OL + FA(WR)

The only reason why I would go CB early is if Dennard or Gilbert falls to us. White is solid and should go get better, and I feel that we can go after a cheap vet CB (Tillman).

At 28th, I think Moncrief, Fuller, Lee, Erving, Benjamin, Kouandjio, and Matthews would be solid picks.

Donte Moncrief is not a  round receiver. He will not run faster than 4.55 doesn't high point the ball and catches with his chest. He wasn't even the best player on his team last year and was beaten out by a true freshman. DO NOT WANT(in the first). Erving went back to school,Matthews also a second round pick. Benjamin or Odell backham jr would be where the buck stops at wr in the first  where we pick.
