i agree with half of this. if we had raised it to their level, the loss would have been even more lopsided.

we had to cool it because the calls weren't going our way. harbaugh was all about pushing it because the calls were going the 49ers way.

My line of thinking was, with the ease in which they scored to ensure the first half, and the lopsided officiating, we had nothing to lose. Well, the game of course, but my feeling was to not let up because it appeared it was slipping away anyway.
