lol running back in the 2nd. lmao boy you just gave me my laugh for today

unless we magically can get rid of stewart without hurting the cap.

keep dreaming bud

Laugh all you want, but I'm telling you this team is going to draft a running back.   Just because in the past the ex GM over invested in RB's that didn't bring the production, doesn't mask the fact that we have a personnel deficiency at RB.  If anything it makes sense to draft running back so you have a guy on the rookie pay scale ready to go, when the time comes that we can actually get those contracts off the books.

If we wait to get another RB until after those god awful contracts expire, we'll be left scrambling hoping we find the right guy in time.

Dave Gettleman liked Brandon Jacobs, don't be surprised to see a bruiser back end up here.

it wont be in the first 2 rounds. drafting a running back could wait til next draft. we probably wont be able to afford to get rid of stewart or dwill. id rather get better run blocking on our oline before I worried about the backs. we don't get any push on the right side. in order to find a quality OT to fix this problem its has to be addressed no later than the 2nd.

Not to mention we desperately need a WR

I like the idea just not right now

No doubt improving the OLine is a priority.  There have been several times though where DLO just seemed to trip in wide open creases, not to mention he doesn't seem to be hitting holes with the same authority.  How can we expect to go far in the playoffs next year without a good power run game?  Look at the teams still in the mix not including Denver.  Gore, Lynch, Blount/Ridley.

It seemed that in all the divisional games the power run game was the key.  Personally, I'd like to see Mike Davis in the 3rd.

It's funny though because the reality is, credit to Rivera...for a playoff team we have a lot of holes.  Arguments can be made for a CB, OT, WR, RB, DE (dependent upon Hardy), and last but not least a G.
