The offensive talent is so bad outside of Cam

Given Cam's age, there isn't one QB I'd take over Newton.

Rodgers has 6 years on Cam. Brady 12. Brees 10 (wouldn't even take brees if they that number was alot smaller). Manning 13.

This organization has done Nothing to help him thus far.  We bring in the Kid put the franchise on the shoulder #1 pick franchise QB Owner loves him says its his last QB

Everyone questions him in college to now questions him (outside week1-4 of rookie year) about his passing.  We give him the weakest smallest stable of weapons for any QB in the NFL.  Teams stack the Box shutting down the run, Blitz the crap out of him forcing him to think quick and look for guys who jsut cant get open or catch.  Nothing he can do.  Just a confidence killer, tying the kids hands and expect him to turn water into wine

Time for Panthers ownership to prove they meant it when they said they didn't draft Cam to save the franchise.

Our preseason flaws were exposed. Rivera got the most he could out of this team. After Gettleman gets to draft and sign FA, we will be a must better team

Wilson was 9/18 with just over 100 yards yesterday and still won.

Cam has those numbers and this place goes effing bonkers. Cam is being asked to do the most out of any QB in the NFL. He's our leading rusher, when we have 2 highly over paid running backs and the best FB/RB in football.

Brady didn't even have to throw a TD pass last night and they still scored 43 points.

No matter what anybody say Cam is the best young QB in the league. If we get a franchise WR and a TE we'll be contending again. It would be nice to have a TY Hilton in this team. Cam is awesome with that deep ball. I'm excited about what we can become.

Yep got a good base to build from. However it's important to have a great offseason this year. Can't afford to miss on picks and miss handle the Hardy situation.

yes, we need to get this right. We can't manage to go full retard and let the Saints & Falcons get the Edge. I don't like being underdogs in the playoffs or just squeezing in. Losing in the playoffs sucks. But this year's lost I can accept. I don't understand how teams like Indy with 11 wins can be so satisfied losing and watching their QB stink up the joint. The great thing about our division is that if we win it, it means we're contenders. And I think those 1st & goal debacles taught this team a lot. The players don't wanna go through that pain again.

Defense still wins championships but only in certain spurts or situations. Its good we got our D set, but the main focus should be O and building around Cam the right way because you can't win if you struggle to put up points. At the end of the year until now we struggled to do that. We talking averaging 1-2 TD and letting our D do the rest

 

Even with that being said we're good to enough to get to the redzone and settle for FG's. I can't fully figure out why but its embarrassing that a trend that followed us ended what could have been a good year

Not sure if anyone else mentioned this, but did it seem like on the last drive Cam looked like he was playing hurt?  Before the pick the cameras showed some close-ups of him between plays and just didn't look right.  Maybe he was just tired, but his demeanor didn't look the same as it did in other games this season.  I just wonder if he was battling something else we didn't know/hear about.

The point has been beaten to death, but Cam can only do so much with the WR and OL corps we currently have.  I think he needs to correct the overthrows this offseason, but we have to get him some help this offseason; some way, some how.

If anyone read the first post, that is exactly what I am saying. That is the bright side of things, he can get the deep ball. We need to add a lot of those plays next year by drafting a deep threat WR or just giving Tedd Ginn the opportunity.

Ginn has had plenty of opportunities. Ginn's problem is that his ONLY threat is go deep, home run catches. While Ginn has big play potential, I think it's best relegated to punt returns and occasional go routes. He is just NOT an every down big play receiver. He lacks route skills, separation ability and hands. He's also not going to make those tough over the middle, gonna get hit, possession receiver catches. If Ginn was a big time receiver it would have been very clear by now.....He's had more than enough time.

Get him better receivers, and [presto] they're not overthrows anymore. 

 

Lastly: You're never going to eliminate "over" or "bad throws". It's part of the game. They're too many moving parts and personnel that can screw things up.

 

Imperfect throws are part of the game. However, good receivers make them catches and big/spectacular plays. 

 

PS: Cam ran too much short yardage today, and took many shots. This needs to stop with a better run game and play calling.
