Cam thread ~ Lets get it out of the way.

He could have placed the ball better but other than that it really was about WRs not getting open and bad playcalling.

Cam had one play that was truly bad (the late pick). The tipped pick was unfortunate, but that was just a matter of chance.


I can't remember if that late pick was the same play, but there was a play where he locked on to a receiver on his right and he had Ginn WIDE OPEN on the left side for a TD on a go route. He's young, but I think the offseason training for him should be doing a better job of consistently scanning the whole field. He's in his formative years right now. Have to form the good habit of looking both ways before he crosses the road, so to speak.


He had a good game. Outplayed Kaep, I thought. Kaep's number got padded off of two deep passes to two wide open receivers.

He lead our team in rushing on the day.

Let's say that one more time folks. Our quarterback lead our team in rushing. It's tough for any team to win when that happens.

Contrast that with Kaepernick who did not lead his team in rushing, but also had a nearly 100 yard rusher on the day in Frank Gore.

We are not going anywhere under those circumstances no matter who is behind center.

This offseason is the time to finally build around our quarterback on his side of the ball. No excuses, time to get to hustling Gettleman.

This game was no ones' fault, the 49ers are a better team - that simple.

I don't completely agree with that. If they are, not by much. Their offense maybe, but we had a chance to take this game, but we didn't.

Yeah it's funny how when Steve was running well Cam looked great...Steve goes down, Cam struggles. Now if only we could get him more than one good WR, crazy talk I know. Kaep has Davis, Crabtree AND Boldin bailing him out all game. Anyone trashing Cam is retarded. It's a team loss(with ALOT of ref help). Our Defense let us down also and they are the strength of our team presently. We HAVE to become more balanced

 

He struggles because he has no one he can trust to consistent catch the ball. Steve and Cam seem to have that same fighting spirit.  If you listened to these so called talking heads, they kept saying Colin was better because he had weapons around him. Who does Cam honestly have besides Smitty? Cam cannot throw and catch his own balls. Every "elite" QB is as good as their "elite" Receivers.

I'm unable to start a thread on low post count. Just wanted to give your Huddle forum props for not pulling the plug after a loss. Saints and Falcons forums hide in their hole after a loss with a BS excuse of high traffic volume. Yeah right.

Cam can play better but I do not feel as if he played poorly or was anywhere close to the top of the list on why we lost.

If anyone read the first post, that is exactly what I am saying. That is the bright side of things, he can get the deep ball. We need to add a lot of those plays next year by drafting a deep threat WR or just giving Tedd Ginn the opportunity.

2x we had the ball at the 1 yard line and could not punch it in... I would say the play-calling is more to blame than Cam

did some things I thought were amazing and did some things I would expect from somebody non-deserving of an NFl contract much less a start.  

 

 

its a crap shoot.  glorious at times and below average at times

 

sure that sort of thing is exciting but there comes a time when the peaks and valleys need to level off a bit. dial back the amplitude if you will.

 

 

 

maybe some weapons will help the situation.  maybe.  I think they should.  odds say they should.  only one way to find out.... gett----man.

How many drops the panthers have today?

I don't think many.

Anyone paying attention the last few weeks knew the offense was struggling and you just knew it would catch up. Today it did.

Nothing was done to keep SF off balance. Obvious run down and distance we ran.

All the teams weakness was illuminated today. This includes every player.
