Shula

This is the first thread I have ever created on the main forum.  I usually just pie posts I agree with or think are funny or I post in the game day threads.  But this needs to be said (for the 1,000th time).

The play calling is horrible.  Twice we were inside the 5 yard line and came away with 3 points.  We ran off tackle in the hurry-up after blowing 20+ seconds off the clock.  Olsen and Smitty were basically non-existent in the 2nd half.  We ran D'Will up the middle and Tolbert off-tackle (the opposite of what we should do).  Granted, I am not a football expert, far from it.  But some things just blow my mind.

Shula cost us today. Period.

I'll get pie'd by some and flamed by others but that's ok.  Because like I said I'm not the expert but some things are obvious.

**Side notes:  Cam....throw it away when you have to...it's ok.

** Riverboat Ron:  Why did you tell our defense to calm down?  Appreciate that.

**2014 we need playmakers (WR) and some grown-ass men playing CB.

89 can't run. He is a decoy. Knee isn't holding up to go hard.

He gave it his all. Knee wore down after a good start. Rewatch him run in the 2nd half

Once 89's knee flared up.....we have just Cam and Olsen. Easy to take away one threat. Watch the coverage on Olsen in the 2nd half.

You actually need talent to to call on offense against SF

shula is not the reason..........that goal line fail was all on the players and 49ers, he called a good game but silly plays like always ended up being the deciding factor

Then what's the reason? The players?  Don't the platers run the play called from the booth? The play calling sucks bottom line. Players can't execute when they are put at a disadvantage because of it.

the play calling was fine, warton tripped and got into tolberts way, and if cam stayed outside on his run he would have walked in.......not blaming those guys but thats what happens........he tried a play action but the 49ers played it good.

earlier lafell tips a pass not intended for him for a int like he has done so many times this year, Then cam throws the other int straight to whittner although the de step offsides 3 times.........plays like that happen and guys are ready to do away with shula....however i do see a problem with time management......it's hard to put that on shula when we don't know if rivera has told him something different
