Official Panthers - 49ers Playoff Gameday Thread

Yeah... Saints sure showed us how much playoff experience means yesterday.....

Just saying it takes a certain kind of experience, skill and confidence to win a playoff game and a Super Bowl. Saints did it in '09 because they could handle the pressure, handle home field and handle adversity. Panthers just don't have that combination but I love their spirit. Again, very hard to replicate from year to year which makes it so disappointing when teams don't take advantage of the one opportunity that they do get.

Your post is contradictory. Running up the middle with Tolbert is our strength, which is also the strength of the Niners. We have to at least push the line back enough to allow Tolbert to build up a head of steam.

Your post is just as contradictory.. Our line is unable to push their front 8 back. Thus the struggles inside the 5.. It was the same for the 49ers.. There strength is also running up the middle with Gore, but our front 8 stopped that. How did San Fran execute, by rolling out with their mobile QB to provide options... Either find a hole and run it in yourself as the QB or allow your eligible receivers to break free somewhere in the endzone..

U know what I hate more than anything football related is fans that complain when other fans of what they say is their team are being what they call biased FOR THEIR TEAM. That's what being a fan is!!!! This poo ain't real life!! Take that half-way fan poo back home somewhere. This is the biggest game we have had on a long time. They need our support not criticism!!!

Get mad. I have watched a ton of football and I'm being objective.

So you are an observer of football.

Not a fan(atic).

Understood.

So go find an observer forum, not a damn fan forum, Mr. Observer.

I'm sure there are some 49'er fans who would just pat you on the back and make you feel all squishy in your pants about your "observations".

Regardless of what the refs should or should not have called on Boldin, the Panthers have had MULTIPLE opportunities and came away short. Offensively and defensively. We sure can't depend on the refs calling a fair game.....When have we ever benefited from that??

I agree, there are some self inflicted wounds. Missed a pick 6 earlier, had opportunities within the 2 yards line and didn't capitalize.

I just don't see the 49ers as being better, and the fact that they already have 13 points pisses me off. Some of those were gift wrapped by the refs.

Hoping for a shut out in the second half and a 27-13 panthers victory.

Refs aren't calling it consistent at all BUT Carolina has had their chances to put up points. It can be both ways, believe it or not.

Panthers would be ahead if they'd stop fizzling in the redzone. Can't forget the INT, either. It was a shitty designed play and a bad throw and a lucky catch that ended up being 3 for SF

I have to say it's a good thing they are still in it despite all the BS. It's encouraging. Just have to execute better the second half. No excuses now that they have had a half to see how the refs are gonna call it.

fuged up personal foul after tipped pass on first drive, headbutt penalty that did not go both ways, bull holding penalty on a play right after they let Willis hold Olsen all the way down the field. There's a bunch more. If they had called the unsportsmanlike penalty earlier like they should have, then the 9ers should have been doing 3rd and goal from the 15. Terrible officiating no matter how you slice it.

We can agree to disagree.... If someone hit Smitty that late after a pass was clearly deflected I would have wanted a flag.... thought that was the right call... close but could see it going either way

THe headbutt penalty I do agree with you...

The hold was a clear hold... can't blame the refs when you wrap a guy up....

And we have gotten facemask, personal foul, and other calls on the 49ers... so it's not like we aren't getting zero calls.... But we focus on 1 or two things and try to make it representative of the whole game..

We can win this game.... it's there for us to take.
