I've never thought George Carlin was that funny and I refuse to worship him.

Carlin is the epitome of comedy. He didn't have one-liners or a poo ton of race jokes like a LOT of comedians of today, and he didn't have the "I'm gonna relate to the crowd" style either like most conventional comics, but he did present real comedy. He had a knack for making the truth (at times bleak) funny. THAT is comedy. There's a reason comics almost unanimously praise his work and cite him as an influence or reason why they wanted to get into comedy.

Think about it like this...

 

A few weeks ago in an interview about Cam, a reporter mentioned how Cam would "sulk under a towel" after a loss, & he then quoted Rivera as saying "You don't see the towel anymore."

 

I heard that quote a several times linked to Cam maturing.

 

My response to the quote at first was "LOL! Wut?", but then I realized that Rivera was pointing out that even though in every game you see Cam on the sideline with the towel on his head, the media isn't noticing it because we are winning.

 

Winning cures all I agree. However, there remain some idiots

 

I will share a little story from tonight, while I was watching the Seattle-NO game at my local. There was a group of guys in their mid 50's I'd guess, all rooting for Seattle because Russell Wilson is from NCSU. The San Fran-Panthers game came up and one of the guys, a Philly native, said the Niners would win by at least 10, and he hated Cam because he wears a f*cking towel over his head!!! Meanwhile, tattooed, muscle kissing Kaepernick is a classy guy; a serious competitor. I ribbed him about it a bit and the cute bartender with nice cleavage said "Do you hate it when he does this?" and thrust her chest out doing the Superman thing. He liked it and we all laughed.

There's an absolute divide between Cam and the rest of the league. That's a fact. You can watch video, listen to sports radio and see there is a CLEAR bias against Cam Newton. What is so frustrating and what the OP probably meant is, it's not getting any better. This team finished 12-4 and STILL Cam is the "red headed step child" of NFL super stars.

People can whine and b***h about this topic all they want, but it's not going away, nor should it go away until Cam is treated in the same way that an Andrew Luck is.

If you don't like the topic, keep f'ing scrolling. No one is forcing you to click on the thread and I can assure you no one cares about your worthless "oh noez, not this topic again" opinion.

That announcer last night would let Luck jizz all over his face.

Lucks narrative has been choosen, facts wont change it and too many talking heads anointed him ages ago, they aren't going to be reasonable and admit they could have been wrong.

      I do not want nor have the energy to start a sanders vs BY topic..... Heres where Im at, what else is Titans Levi's or colts Arich going give in a trade...... Im no sanders fan, but it wouldn't bug me if caralas/Brandt/tepper/who____ wanted to go another route.....yes its been a QB whirlwind since ...to long.... still Im not sold on the skill and talent of one BY.   I think this is first year in many in which Carolina with have the same HC, QB, and GM. Its been a mess...

      No one should be the least bit surprised by this organization doing powerfully stupid stuff. You don't accidentally achieve the worst record in the NFL since 2018, it takes consistently awful decisions to pull that off. And then the cherry on top of the dog poo sundae is that every year when we're closing in on a top 5 pick, here comes a couple of meaningless moral victories to fug that up. I'd be curious what percentage of our wins in the Tepper era have come when we're mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.

      I think remember doing mock Sims for Carolina as many others, I don't think any of picked RBs in any rounds.... I honestly had the same "my team let me down" feels with the BY pick........just WHY all the holes and one of the spots were they have depth AND the RB market is at the lowest point in NFL history..... Just a    Per normal the huddle was for all for Zach Frazier, not me I wanted Marshawn Kneeland. Plus I wanted to REMAIN AT whatever LA pick and NOT TRADE UP FOR A ACL injuried RB. My friend was right, Dan did draft like he was still playing in his era..... ugh, Brandt and Dan cannot have that same problem this year......its beginning year 2 of a full 3 year rebuild..... for fugs sake, please find some talent and depth in later rounds....
