Andrew Luck is more like Bret Favre than like Manning. 

 

 

 

Plus the media is trying to back up what the said about Luck and Newton pre-Draft.

 

Newton was the immature scam guy with the fake smile... and they are trying so hard to redeem themselves for what they said about him. Now that we are winning and they see that it isnt going to happen, they made up the whole 'mature' script that they say 27 times a game. The team knows that Cam has always been Cam, and that it is just media spin to get out of the things they said about him.

 

 

Well, the same is true about Luck. They proclaimed him the greatest QB since Peyton Manning before he was even drafted... So in order to not appear to be idiots, they must continue to write about him in a way that shows that 'they were right', "it was just (another) bad game".

 

 

I dont like riding the 'media hates Cam card', but I figured I would respond to the thread in the manner that I think is closest to the truth. It is about media and the soap opera that they try to paint the league out to be. They are just generating media buzz for link clicks.

So when we win the Lombardi, are you also going to complain that Dan Patrick handed the trophy to Cam in a smug manner? And that if Kaep won it, it would have been handed to him in a more calm and congratulatory way?

 

"adults" on this site start more "he said/she said" and immature arguments then 13 year old girls

For many its Cam then this team he happens to play for.

So I guess we need a media watchdog or huddle omsbudman to do a daily tally of negative vs positive comments then use an objective metric to see if it was hate or hype.

So laughable.

No! thats not enough. I dont care if we win the super bowl. Im not happy until every single person that has ever stepped foot on TV says nice things about the random football team that I root for. Thats what really matters.

Think about it like this...

 

A few weeks ago in an interview about Cam, a reporter mentioned how Cam would "sulk under a towel" after a loss, & he then quoted Rivera as saying "You don't see the towel anymore."

 

I heard that quote a several times linked to Cam maturing.

 

My response to the quote at first was "LOL! Wut?", but then I realized that Rivera was pointing out that even though in every game you see Cam on the sideline with the towel on his head, the media isn't noticing it because we are winning.

      I do not want nor have the energy to start a sanders vs BY topic..... Heres where Im at, what else is Titans Levi's or colts Arich going give in a trade...... Im no sanders fan, but it wouldn't bug me if caralas/Brandt/tepper/who____ wanted to go another route.....yes its been a QB whirlwind since ...to long.... still Im not sold on the skill and talent of one BY.   I think this is first year in many in which Carolina with have the same HC, QB, and GM. Its been a mess...

      No one should be the least bit surprised by this organization doing powerfully stupid stuff. You don't accidentally achieve the worst record in the NFL since 2018, it takes consistently awful decisions to pull that off. And then the cherry on top of the dog poo sundae is that every year when we're closing in on a top 5 pick, here comes a couple of meaningless moral victories to fug that up. I'd be curious what percentage of our wins in the Tepper era have come when we're mathematically eliminated from the playoffs.

      I think remember doing mock Sims for Carolina as many others, I don't think any of picked RBs in any rounds.... I honestly had the same "my team let me down" feels with the BY pick........just WHY all the holes and one of the spots were they have depth AND the RB market is at the lowest point in NFL history..... Just a    Per normal the huddle was for all for Zach Frazier, not me I wanted Marshawn Kneeland. Plus I wanted to REMAIN AT whatever LA pick and NOT TRADE UP FOR A ACL injuried RB. My friend was right, Dan did draft like he was still playing in his era..... ugh, Brandt and Dan cannot have that same problem this year......its beginning year 2 of a full 3 year rebuild..... for fugs sake, please find some talent and depth in later rounds....
