Some times Turgo had good game plans and some times/most of the time he just made the defense too soft, and too complex to bring any kind of pressure. And it didn't help that our defensive line has significantly changed since 03, but still Turgo didn't really change much.

I'm glad that fuger got canned. I'm not expecting a total change in philosophy with Meeks but I'm hoping will be more aggressive. We'll still be bend but don't break I'm sure. But hopefully it will be the opposing offenses our guys will be breaking.

And I'm hoping after the ARZ Fox will put some faith in Gamble and let him man up on the others team #1 WR.

That is the only game I ever left early. I was so delirious I was almost laughing. I wanted a refund. I like how Fox gave up on the run too early and didn't adjust his gameplan to cover #11. Gamble should have been on him the whole game but as Fox said after the game "we don't shadow receivers." That day might have been the day to start.

The hidden, underlying reason for that defeat was Fox's losing faith in Trgo. He abandoned the run because he felt he had to outscore Arizona. It's no coinkydinky that the entire defensive staff was gone after that game.

i think fans are putting to much blame on trgo..yes his def sucked but just as much blame needs to go on fox..if not more.

but it seems he was tired of having his defense dictated from above.

In each of the last two seasons, head coach John Fox started showing more influence in Trgovac’s defensive meetings, doing so four games into 2007 and around midseason last year.

Anyone remember this play....it was our 2nd drive I believe where we ran a running play on both 2nd and 3rd down. The play on 2nd down went nowhere and then we ran it again on 3rd and had to punt. I had a bad feeling from then on....I just remember saying to myself on 3rd down....dont run the ball!! Everything went to shyt after that

also what be people dont seem to get about trgo..from gannt

They ran the same defenses here (the ones John Fox told them to), and Trgovac did it with more success. Ask players and they tell you of the pair, Trgovac's blitzed more and was more aggressive
.

One thing has surprised me about the reaction to Mike Trgovac leaving. You do know it was his choice, right? There's some street-dancing going on as if he was fired and that was a good thing, but it's just wrong-headed. This idea that Trgovac was a bumbler who held this defense back is simply a myth

Maybe Fox had to get involved because Turgo COULDNT GET HIS HEAD OUT OF HIS OWN ASS AND FIGURE OUT HOW TO STOP AN OFFENSE......
