It was poor situational awareness by Colsten. He thought the clock had ran out and was attempting a lateral. Comically, it was very poorly thrown and ended up a forward pass. Also, there was still a few seconds on the clock when Colsten made the original catch at the sideline. If he would have just stepped out of bounds he could have setup Brees for a last second hail Mary attempt.

Forward passes are legal, Brees does them all the time. This is obviously part of Gordell's attempt to hold us back.

Officials were paid to look the other way. That much was obvious but it wasn't just refs. This game was fishy when I saw Graham miss that kick and Brees throwing passes to the lights in the stadium.
