Russell Wilson's Hype

{Pssst! Their offense has been "struggling" the past month during the regular season.

and the saints Defense had been too... therefore, seeing them struggle "now" makes my point relevant. we just need to handle our business tomorrow because we also have struggled offensively compared to previous weeks. if we give them a long field we can wrap it up nicely.

He doesn't go through multiple reads. As soon as his primary is covered he rolls out with an option to run. Kap does the same thing but I've seen Kap make throws from the pocket on a more consistant basis than Wilson.

He only does that when he gets pressured up the middle which hurts him badly because of his height

Your are horribly wrong. The King has to do more pre snap than both Willy and Cam combined.

Roman's complex O >>> Bevell >>> Shula

...it's a testament to Cam he's even able to function within it.

Ok Joe, you can go believe that

Nothing pre snap about looking at your first read out the gate and running if he is not open

People talk about Cam having no weapons, Wilson's #1 all year was Golden Tate, and he doesn't have a TE of Olsen's caliber. Lynch didn't average anymore yards than Williams per carry, he just had more carries. The Seattle O-line is not very good in pass protection. We saw that week 1, Wilson was running for his life all game.

Our D Line will have any Qb running for their life. We have seen it all season.

There's no point in arguing lad. These guys don't watch film of either QB and I don't blame them. Afterall, All-22 access (coaches film) hasn't been on sale this year.

NC State homers are funny. Russell Wilson is probably the most overrated QB in the league. He does only one thing well: he is accurate when throwing on the run. That is really about it. He's terrible at reads, and he's mediocre when throwing in the pocket. The only way he wins a SuperBowl is to go the Trent Dilfer route. Heck, Trent Dilfer was probably a better QB.

Russell Wilson is a solid player, but he should accept less money in order for the Seahawks to keep Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, and Bobby Wagner when their respective contracts expire. I think he has already reached his ceiling. He is not worthy of a 100 million dollar contract if he is only being asked to make 2-4 impact throws in the playoffs.

This is also a great point. Wilson is not worth 100 million dollars. Some of that should go to their defense, if it doesnt they will lose some key players and become significantly worse. As a fan of an opposing team i hope they are dumb enough to do it.

I have said it multiple times, but to repeat, there is no QB in the league I'd rather have than Cam Newton. When all is said and done, I'm convinced he will be a 1st ballot HOF'er.

That doesn't mean I can't like other QB's. Of the other young guns, Wilson is the best. Yes, he has a great defense and Lynch is spectacular in big games, but no QB is better throwing on the run than Russell Wilson.

And I don't care where he went to school. I have no association whatsoever with any school in the Carolina's and don't follow college FB. I just like the way he plays.

That said, I hope we get a chance to kick his ass all over the field next week.

I'm not going to bash Russell Wilson because he has done much better in the league than most expected, but I feel he is often vastly overrated. Wilson is a game manager who can make a lot of plays with his feet, but for a guy who was considered a legitimate MVP contender at the QB position, his ability to make the tough throws is almost non-existent. Thoughts?

Will say the same thing I've said in other discussions.  They're all overrated.  The media treats good QBs like gods.

Wilson is definitely the real deal.

Kaepernick?  Eeehhhh...
