Completely agree with you.  Let our D get some pent up aggression out early.  Seeing a 3 and out or quick stalled drive by SF will help calm our offense's nerves a bit.

A defer, followed by a hopeful 3-and-out will go a long way to helping us win.

Always a good idea to put your strongest unit on the field first if you have the choice, especially at home.

I think it's always best to get the ball to start the 2nd half.  It's a win-win no matter what.  You could be down and need a TD to bring you back in the game and it gives you a chance to get the ball after making some halftime adjustments.  If you're up, you keep the ball away from the other team with a chance to burn some clock.

I agree. I watched replay last night, and it looked like we got hot later in the game, also we should have had an interception and a fumble recovery. kraperwang looks like garbage

Deferring has the potential to kill an opponent's drive or, if you have the ball, take some aggressive shots at the end of the first half depending on field position.  Really seems like the best option most of the time.

Defer without a doubt nothing hurts worse than big defensive plays early....."oh you owe us kap, go ahead then try and get past the line of scrimmage" big sack or turnover that early will be huge momentum

Definitely, starting the game off with a San Fran 3 and out would be something epic for this crowd Sunday.

i agree but not to do with crowd noise, just put the better unit on the field first and hopefully get a stop and set the tone
