Wtf Beurlein?

Kaep had a poor season until Crabtree came back. He only passed for 200 yards 3 times in 11 games prior to Crabtree came back. Four games out of six he passed for over 200 yards since he came back. To me it appears the receivers make him look better than he really is.

I try not to be too much of a homer, but when film experts say that Cam is going through his reads and Kaep isn't, plus the differential in offensive talent they have to work with..it makes you wonder why someone like Warner and Beurliein, who should know the QB position better than anyone, would go with the media man-crush narrative. I think everyone in the media whiffed so bad on Cam that they hate him for it.

Your referring to Greg Cosell by chance? I heard him this morning saying Kaep is quick to go to his first option and if it isn't there he takes off running but Cam is more apt to going trough his reads first. Out of all the analysts, Greg is by far the best IMO.

Just an opinion. Who cares.

Not that someone really "cares", per se, but I am not surprised that some long time Panthers fan is a little irked by Beuerlein's comment, considering that most Panthers fans have had largely good thoughts about the journeyman who played relatively well for the franchise at the time, even breaking a few records along his five year stint in Charlotte. He'd been given his club card (i.e., his Panthers card) in the hearts and minds of some, notwithstanding his journeyman-like career. So you'd have thought that the guy would have had enough sense to be a little more diplomatic when verbalizing his opinions on Cam vs. Kap.

Needless to say, his card has been revoked, and his goodwill has been lost.
