This guy on nfl.com picked us.

If the Panthers' defense and raucous crowd can recapture their Week 16 form, however, it's going to be a challenge for even the NFL's hottest team to escape with a victory. I will be shocked if this is not the closest game of Divisonal Round Weekend.

Carolina Panthers 16, San Francisco 49ers 13

Although I did get in a lengthy twitter debate with him because he thinks Newton is a "well below average passer".

I can totally understand why is name keeps being mentioned. Crabtree on the field makes a difference and him and Kaep are really starting to click right now. I haven't heard anyone refer to him as "great" but If someone was to analyze this game and can't understand that him being back as a positive for the 49ers then thats just ignorance.

They do have a good chemistry.

Its a good thing the Panthers have the Green Bay tape to look at how they like to use him.

I expect Crabtree to be a non factor in the game.

I fully expect McDermott to be making that a priority. With the 49ers FB Miller out it will be hard for SF to run the ball against the Panthers. He was more important than people realize. Focus on stopping Crabtree and Vernon Davis and Kaep will be VERY uncomfortable and have little to work with.

Yep. Not many teams have the personel to do that while containing Kaepernick.

Its a good thing the Panthers D has had to contain Cam in practice since 2011.

The most maddening projection-related thing I keep hearing is here in DC on the sports radio station morning show, "The Sports Junkies." They have had NFL broadcasters, writers, and players on all week. And the one question they've asked everyone is, "Outside of San Francisco, which away team has the best chance to win this weekend?"  So San Fran is just a given at this point? Friggin' bull crap, man. Bull crap.
