I'm going to hope "interviewing with coaches" was the media's way of saying RG3 met with the candidates.

I would be deeply concerned if, as a player, he is being given that kind of authority.  Ugh.

Actually most franchise level QBs have a level of say on the incoming coaching staff because they both have to get along for this thing to work. Caldwell watched tapes with Stafford during his interview. Yep, the one you guys don't bother mentioning in your daily bashing because he's so accomplished.

...Stafford is accomplished?  Daily bashing?  The hell you talking about?

Watching tapes != interviewing.  I understand sitting down with coaching candidates and thinks it makes sense.  I'm hoping the media is blowing the term "interviewing" up. I just said that.  There's a difference, because interviewing implies you are a direct influence on the hiring choice.

If you read the nfl.com news item on that, it says Caldwell watched film and offered him suggestions on how to fix his throwing motion.  On top of that, the article even notes how Stafford can't decide who his future coach is.

Yeah.  "Accomplished" is not a word I'd use for Stafford.

He's capable of good games, but he's not a great quarterback (and I doubt he ever will be).
