anderson or clemens?

Recommended Posts

So I am content with our qb situation this year? However, it looks like brady quinn and mark sanchez are the future for their respective clubs, what do you guys think about maybe getting derek anderson from the browns or kellen clemens from the jets next year? i think clemens contract will be up and anderson might get released or possibly a trade?

I swear is there no such thing as being content with a Quarterback situation.

Jake Delhomme will be here until he retires in probably three to seven years. Josh McCown will then take over as the starter, the dude can play football. Matt Moore will backup McCown and Cantwell will be the third string QB. Sounds good to me.

mccown will be at least 33 by then, he is definitely not the answer. i am hoping moore can develop into a long term starter but i wouldn't mind taking a chance on anderson or clemens if they came cheap.

McCown is fine. He just never got a legit chance to prove himself worthy. All the teams he played for before the Panthers sucked. The Lions were and still are horrendous, the Raiders were and still are terrible, and the Cardnials were bad and now they have a decent team thanks to Fizty and Warner.

i think when we get a 1st rounder next offseason for Pep we will draft out future QB.

Next years draft class is stacked, and it will give the new kid at least a couple years before being thrown on the field.

I know if I was the GM that would be my plan....

I think Pep will stay, because you know Jerry Richardson, Marty Hurney, and John Fox will all get together after this year and decide to ask for compensation of two first round draft picks after he is tagged again. When they do not recieve any offers Peppers will sign his tender and eventually sign a long term contract.

i think when Pep post back to back 14+ Sack seasons SOMEONE is going to pull a 1st and 2nd rounder out their butt and make Mr. Hurney very happy.

This is a business, and Mr. Peppers doesn't want to be here. You cant pay a guy 20 million dollars a SEASON and cripple the rest of the team because your emotionally attached.

time to let him go.

I actually think he will want to stay here after this season.

    • Yes I have. Have you? If you know anything about body language which I'm guessing you don't, it communicates what you're really thinking. People lie with words everyday. Very few people have enough control over their bodies to lie with that as well. So, if you want to know the truth, ignore their planned responses and read their body language.  You say he's pissed, I don't see pissed. I see indifference. He shrugs his shoulders like 10 times. What does a shoulder shrug usually mean when we communicate? It means I don't know. No me. Not my problem. etc. Everything he said was dismissed as I don't know, no my problem.  If he were pissed their should have been more aggressive motions and when people are pissed the eyes narrow.  There was non of that. Watch the Dalton video when he got benched in Cinci. He was pissed and his body language shows it. He shakes his head no aggressively when talking about the decision which matches his words that he disagrees with the decision, his eyes narrow and he rocks from side to side leaning in slightly on his right side. That's a sign of aggression which means anger.
    • well, if you put in stock into Tom Brady's opinions.  He said the young QBs shouldn't be playing.  He said they are setup to lose.  They don't have time to learn how to play QB in the NFL.  So what teams do is they dumb down literally everything for the young QBs and throw them into the fire.  Which for a Bryce is REALLY going to hurt.....because he doesn't even have average physical tools, let alone doesn't have break glass emergency skills to overcome anything.  Brady implied even ones playing well aren't really playing QB at a high level.
    • I think we’re past trying to tailor fit an offense for Bryce. He won’t study it or put in extra work during the offseason anyway.
