Staal And Semin Snubbed, Skinner Left Off

Recommended Posts

Eric Staal and Alexander Semin were both left off their respective countries Olympic teams for the Sochi Olympics. Eric's absence isn't as notable as Semin's but being that he was the captain of Canada at the IIHF World Championships you would think that he would be a lock... Staal didn't have to play in the World Championships but did so because he loves his country, as most know; Eric ended up taking cheap-shot from Alex Edler in the process.

For the life of me, I will not understand how Semin was left off of Russia's Olympic team... There's no excuse for it, that's really all there is to say about that.

Jeff Skinner was also left off of Team Canada, and while this isn't considered a snub; you would think that Canada would want to take the hottest player in the NHL with them to Sochi.

With that said... f*ck Canada and Russa.

USA - Gold

Finland - Silver

Slovakia - Bronze
