Time to unleash the New Ton

Okay, you be the idiot. My apologies.

If you're going to be a total jack ass be my guest. Our offense has to be better. There's nothing wrong in discussing ways they can do that. We've got Olsen, Smith who may not be 100%, up and down LaFell, and Ted Ginn. We have a running game that's success is dictated by the talent of our RB's, Cam and the strength of our opponent. Our line does not block well.

Sorry I don't feel safe with us winning by 1 point or having to resort to game winning drives. I want us to dominate and prove we can score at will. The defense has been carrying this team. If we happen to go to the Superbowl and win in the same close game manner. Fine I'll eat my crow but I doubt that's how Cam and the rest of the offense want it to go down.

Yes! MCNUTT!!!!!!!!

Recent News

Brandon LaFell did not catch a pass in Sunday's Week 17 win at Atlanta.
It's a new low for LaFell. The Panthers desperately needed him to step up with Steve Smith (knee) out, and the fourth-year vet responded by dropping a big third-down pass early on and failing to create separation against a weak secondary.

Consistently failing to capitalize on opportunities, LaFell finishes with 49 catches for 627 yards and five touchdowns. The Panthers would do good to get Ted Ginn more involved.

I have a feeling the coaching staff will get tight. A bunch of run run pass punt. If SF doesn't score the coaching staff will settle with not scoring too thinking this is gonna be a slug fest.

That would be like the old "playing not to lose crap",John Fox would go to a lot of times,we all saw where that got us.

.I like the idea of a hurry up attacking offense to try to get points on the board, then let our defense hold the 49'ers offense.

Brandon actually saw some action last week. He was throwing a block downfield when Cam drew the unnecessary roughness penalty. Not sure how many snaps he got, but saw him on numerous occasions. So they were at least getting him some snaps. Not sure how that translates for this week. But, he has been getting some playing time.

Williams doesn't have blazing speed, but he's fast and athletic enough to get downfield and make plays in the passing game. He's also strong enough to hold up at the point of attack, which was the downfall of Rosario, the former UCLA wideout.

Rivera openly accepted that we're underdogs, so as long as they're not getting blown out he'll be happy. Expect the play call to be very conservative. I think they'll try to keep the game close so hopefully they get the last possession. It's gonna be interesting.

If Riverboat isn't showing up, he mind as well not show up at all. I hope nobody on this site is and will be content if that happen just cause we made it to the divisional round off a good season

IF he can hold up at the point of attack, he is at least a viable receiving threat. He may not be an Olsen, but he will at least demand some attention. Which is more than any other TE not named Olsen can provide.

We run 2 TE sets quite often. If Hartstock can't go. Brandon will see some action. Maybe he can make the most of it. We sure could use it.

not only that, but we should see Brandon Williams and Kenjon Barner--see what Williams has on third and short and in the red zone, and Barner mostly on screens and plays to the outside. This is the only game there is, we're not guaranteed next week, so everything has to start going on the table.

I'd love to see Brandon Williams on the field, and making an.impact on the game. but I'd be willing to bet he won't.

    • Start with Bryce, this is like his rookie year. The 1st 2 games proved her was wired wrong and it looks like (we hope) he needed a time out to reset and be the player that was drafted. He's still about a year or more away from being a top 15 QB, if the Panther give him another playmaker or 2 (a top WR and a decent TE) and maintain that line. Canales deserves credit as playing that card correctly to motivate (or refocus) his QB for one last shot to decide his and the Panthers immediate future. As a Panther fans we should hope he keeps improving as we invested so much to get him. CJ Stroud will never have a season like he had, even if he stays a top 10 QB. He's got great character so I'm rooting for Bryce to continue on his positive journey. Canales is playing the week to week thing with bryce perfectly. Nothings guaranteed, earn it weekly which builds consistency and consistency is greatness.  Keep the O-line. They've got to extend Brady C, along with Mayes that have a real good 7. Great job Morgan starting with the big guys upfront.  I really hope they draft a DE or OLB in the 1st round. Getting Brown back with A Robinson and what DJ has shown that we can have a decent D-line. Need a CB in the early rounds/ or a time FA to go with Horn.  The future as to next year being good enough to challenge for the division is within reach. Just show progress (win or lose) every week. Kudos to Dan Morgan. Plays GM like a LB. Tackle the problem and move on, don't just hope it works out. Find guys with your playing mentality and work closely with your HC to share a vision. Teamwork starts at the top and flows down.
