Player to watch on defense isn't Kuechly necessarily, but Thomas Davis

If and when we beat the 49ers on Sunday, the key will probably be Thomas Davis. Think back through this season and his career. Is there anyone that can be counted on more reliably in important games than TD? Had 17 tackles against the Patriots, 14 tackles against the Saints in Charlotte, had the key forced fumble on Kendall Hunter in Round 1 vs. the Niners, was probably the only Panther that played well in the first half of the Saints game in the Superdome. He even led the team in tackles against Arizona in 2008.

No one is more reliably great on defense in big games than Thomas Davis. He will come to play and I predict a big TD play late in the 4th quarter wins us the game.

When we drafted TD, you got the impression he was brought in to be the "spy" when we played the Vick led Falcons.  TD is a mobile QB specialist.  He will be the difference in this game!

Great point. I can't remember a single mobile quarterback having much success on the ground when TD is on the field. Wilson had under 10, Kaepernick had maybe 15. I think Geno Smith actually had the most this year with 40 yards rushing.
