lolwut? How is that NOT running well? Just because he had 3 big runs that makes it less effective? My whole point is we had something working with Gore and we let up on it for reasons I am not sure about. I'm not saying we were having a cakewalk up and down the field on you guys but we were able to run, something that you guys thought we weren't going to be able to do against your uber Dline.

You didn't "let up" on it. Kapernick sucked. He couldn't aid Gore and keep the drives going.

That much is true. I think that will be much different with Crabs back though.

When yall did blitz Kap really couldn't trust any of his WR's outside of Boldin and Im sure yall were doubling him. Especially once VD went out.

I don't expect it to be much different. Slightly better sure....

Kapernick didn't stink so much this year bc Crabtree was out IMO it is bc he struggles of he can't throw to his first read.

Also Colston's height is a huge mismatch for our defense.  Luckily Crabtree isn't exactly huge.  He's pretty scrappy and improvises well to get open at times, he KILLS you with YAC tho.  Honestly I'd be fine with putting Cap on Crabtree.  Boldin worries me more, he's a historic playoff baller, plays the ball in the air and he's freaking huge.

I would not be surprised if we put White on Crabtree and Florence on Bolden. It might be reversed but I doubt you see Capt on either. That would be a huge mismatch.

Are you saying that you don't understand the difference between popping a couple of runs to inflate your numbers vs sustaining run success?  You quoted earlier a 5.1 ypc average, well that's just awesome!  Based on that you hand the ball to Gore twice and you get a first down!  Just feed him all game long and you will score touchdowns every time.  WRONG!  Because that is misleading, Gore was stuffed (3 yards or less) or stopped (held to less yards required for a 1st down on 3rd down)  on 7 of his 16 runs, that is to say he was completely ineffective on  nearly half of his touches.  But keep on cherry coating your illusions however you like.

Considering Kapernick's habit of locking and throwing to his first read..... and the fact SF plays tons of 2 WR sets. Captain will have his opportunities. I don't think that will be a bad thing.

Ok, you can break it down however you like. Gore was able to successfully run on you guys. As CRA eluded to earlier, Kap and the passing game could not help out the rushing attack when it was effective, therefor it eventually failed.

The point being, and the reason I posted this in a thread talking about Crabtree; is that in this upcomming meeting, the 49ers should be able to supplement that (light at the end of the tunnel) running game we saw in week 10, with an effective passing game now that Crabtree is back.

I personally don't believe that the Panthers have enough faith in their secondary to stack the box to key in on Gore. With Boldin, Crab, and VD, all 3 of them command double teams and will put up huge numbers if left in man on man coverage, especially with the quality of DB's you have.

I would note, our front 7 is playing at a much higher level as of late than when we faced you earlier. That continues and it offsets somethings as well.....

Boldin doesn't command a double team. He can't get open really anymore. If he makes a magician catch, which he does often, the double doesn't really matter.

I personally don't think Kapernick is a strong enough passer to need to worry about double teams. Stop the run...watch enough film to find the first read.....and attack him if you get it covered.

I guess you can say that, as he isn't going to burn down the field for a TD at any given moment, but he does win 99% of 1 on 1 battles.

Most of what he gets are one on ones....

He can still make circus grabs and make up for poor throws. That makes him dangerous is he doesn't have to be open. But he doesn't get open much IMO so leaving on a one on one with a QB forcing one isn't a bad matchup for us

46 yards rushing in the ENTIRE fuging game is not successfully running on anyone.

Are you just uneducated....or are your parents first cousins?

Break it down however I like?  Presenting reality is more like it.  If you consider what happened in the first game successful then as I said before I hope your successful again this weekend.  I'll live with that kind of success all day every day.

In regards to Crabtree, I'll concede that he improves your offense.  But you're reading far too much into it, Kaep can't throw from his back.  You have to concede that Carolina presents the best front four in football, period.  Lead the league in sacks, and dropped Kaep six times in Candlestick.  You can line whoever you want out wide it won't change the fact that we will own the line of scrimmage.  I suppose you think Kaep is going to come in and do to us what Tom Brady or Drew Brees couldn't in our house or even Kaep himself in YOUR house.  Good luck with that.

Your only shot in this game is your defense vs our offense.  Stop hanging your hat on exposing our defense, which is very unlikely.  If you want to trumpet something, trumpet your defense, which is much more likely to affect the outcome of this game.

I transposed the rushing and passing yards.

They had net 46 yards passing and 105 net yards rushing.

We also out rushed them with 109 yards.

My point is still the same....they did not rush successfully on anyone.
