And I don't want to spend a first round pick on Kelvin Benjamin. He was getting manhandled a lot early against smaller defensive backs, that shouldn't happen with his body size. And if we wanted a receiver that could drop passes that hit him in the hands over the middle we could just resign LaFell.

He seems like a good kid, and he's clearly a great player.

Auburn can blame this loss entirely on their defensive backs being total morons in the last drive. One thing I can't stand about college football is how poorly technique is taught at that level, these kids play like complete imbeciles at times.

 

I wasn't really impressed with Winston. The vast majority of his best plays came from short passes turned into YAC, and that's not a marker of a quality quarterbacking at the next level. Ball placement was erratic and he didn't have much in the way of progressions. Almost everything was limited to a half-field read.

 

Well they did screw up MAJORLY when they let Green loose with under 1 minute left when 2 of the AU DBs missed the tackle on him and let FSU get into striking distance in that 1 chunk play.

 

 

I wonder how differently it plays out if they actually make that tackle instead of totally herping

Sure, but people are acting like he's draft-ready right now. Based on potential alone, perhaps, but I want to see him with less surrounding talent first. Let's not forget, Cam won a national title with only two offensive teammates that even got drafted.
