Smith will line up, and will play, but I think his biggest redeemable quality will be him getting the focus of the defense to open up up the other receivers.

Personally, when we win this game, we will need Smith very healthy for the next two.  If Hixon, Lefell, Ginn can step up then let Smith set.  If the receiving corp doesn't, then Smith will have to play.  We shall see.  That's what the coaches get paid the big bucks for.

They really didn't do terrible without him. McNutt and Hixon haven't seen much play time, and they still held their own. If he can't go, or if he's limited on Sunday to situation snaps, I think we're fine as long as Shula has a good gameplan and doesn't change what he would normally do with Smith in the game.

It's smitty....He loves to screw with people and I bet someone on the low end of the coaching staff told him to not let the cat out of the bag about him for sure playing and that he is running pain free.  Make the Scum Bag Niners worry about maybe he will maybe he won't....KEEP POUNDING!
