How much would it cost us to trade up for Watkins?

Looking for some insight from people that know more about the draft than I do. How much does it cost teams to trade up to a higher first round draft pick? 

 

One of the biggest factors to success next season will be giving Cam a true WR1 weapon on the field. I know I know, first round receivers are a high risk. Few have actually panned out over the last decade, but Watkins seems to be the real deal. He is 6'1" and weighs 205 pounds and doesn't shy away from contact. He won state championships running track in high school so he obviously has the vertical break away speed. He's had Tajh Boyd as his QB who isn't the most accurate passer and he still has broken records and performed well in big games.

 

What would we have to give up to trade into the top 10? I would be perfectly fine with giving up maybe a 4th or 5th round pick along with the garbage pick we got for Beason.

 

Then take the best offensive lineman available in the 2nd round. I'm confident that management will do a good job finding talent to patch up the o-line and secondary in the off season.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 I wouldn't trade up for him but if he falls to us then it wouldn't be a bad pick, but my preference is picking up a OL in the 1st round and WR/TE in the 2nd.

I am certainly glad it is no Gmans style to do this type thing.

 

 

They apparently gave up a 4th round that same year too, so 5 picks total.  First, second, fourth that year, first and fourth the year after.

Actually, I can see Gman Trading down into the 2nd round, picking up an extra 3rd, so now 2x2's 2x3's  Double up on OL and the rest BPA.  Will be a nice draft.

Haha, wow, can't believe I didn't know the details behind that Julio pick. They potentially gave up 3 or 4 starters for him. Definitely not worth it.

 

Mind as well draft o-line and put out a little money to get an established FA. What wide receiver wouldn't want to come play with Cam who is about to be in the prime of his career?

I'd love to get Watkins, but where we'll be drafting and where he'll likely go looks to be shaping up to be a very similar situation to atlantas when they got Julio. Watkins is at least the prospect jones was but I wouldn't want to give up that much. I'm hoping we go WR in the first but we're gonna be looking at the second wave of WRs (like Hopkins last year).
