It's a start. There is no reason a team that finishes 11-5 should miss the playoffs while a team at 9-7 or worse makes the playoffs as a Division winner.

Why not. 9-7 may indicate a tougher conference.

BTW if 7 teams made the playoffs this year, the other two would be Arizona and Pittsburgh, so I don't get the Cowboys jokes. Everyone knows they don't usually get in with a wildcard, they just get the first seed and then poo the bed in the divisional round.

I would hope it would be like the days with 3 divisions. Have a wild card weekend where the wild card teams play and all the division winners get a bye. I could give a sh1t if a team with a better record has to travel. Win your division if you want a bye and home field.

STOP TRYING TO RUIN OUR GAME WITH BULLSHIT that fans dont want.

-Teams losing 3 home games to play over seas . --Refs being told to throw flags first on hard hits, not even taking into account if it ws a penalty or not,

-ruining the playoff system now,

-taking away the home playoff game for division winners and giving it to the wildcard team with the better record

-talks about eliminating the extra point

- already tried to eliminate kick offs

-fining players for spining the ball/any type of celebration

-Knowing that people like offense so they made it where passing records get broken each and every year, completely killing the history and record numbers of the game
