What 49ers Fans are Saying

Plenty of examples of Newton's arm strength, but the laser to Olsen against the Failcons comes to mind.....as does the bullet to Ginn on the GWD against the Taints.

Okay you all win, Cam has the strongest arm in the league and anyone who says otherwise is crazy. Cam can make all the throws and has no weakness in his arm strength. In all honesty, there are moments he needs to cool it down. So the whole argument should be whether they have adequate arm strength, and the answer for both players is a resounding yes. But if I put my life on the line for one to throw with more velocity on a 50 yard throw, I'd choose Kap.

Cam and Kaep both have top 5 arms with Cam having one of the quickest releases in the league

Ill take Cam 10/10 just based on arm talent

Lets not even discuss actually qbing ability

So how do you quantify it? Cam throws for 11 more yards per game than Kap.  Cam throws for 3% higher completion, 3 more td, and 5 more interceptions.

Kap has a more efficient yards per pass at 7.69 to Cam's 7.14.  Kap throws one td for every 11.5 attempts. Cam throws a td every 12.1 attempts.  Kap has a better td/int ratio.  Kap has a higher QB rating as well, and QB rating quantifies all these things and spits out a normally reliable number.

So thats all splitting hairs. Cam has better overall numbers slightly, and Kap has better efficiency, slightly. This is Kap's first full year as a starter, so by the time he's at the point of his career that Cam is, I imagine he'll be markedly better than he is this year.

I'd be curious what Cam could do on this, but Kap threw the ball over 260 yards.  Starts around the 1 minute mark.

You also have to factor in who they are throwing the ball to and who is protecting them. The bottom line is that we need Cam a lot more than the 49ers need Kaepernick.

Lol, I dunno man.  I would hate to see how ugly the game would be with both our backups .  Mccoy is our backup and he hasnt done crap since he was playing for texas in 2008.

You know when you resort to trying to demean me it just makes yourself look bad. Go look at the play and get back to me. Once again your being foolish by failing to realize that it DOES NOT MATTER WHO HAS THE STRONGER ARM. Kap takes years to release the ball and can't work in tight spaces whereas Can can deliver a strike from the pocket in the blink of an eye.

So ongahhzzzz someone said zzz dat my Qbzz arm is not stronger than someone else. Your wrong and I apologize for being argumentative.

I'm sure some 49er people can provide more examples of throws just like the one I'm referring to. Cams strike to Olsen in Atlanta showed that it doesn't matter, he can get the ball there.

lol I don't mean to interrupt your "eppileptic brekdown" by any stretch, but I don't need to demean you when you're doing an excellent job of it yourself.

you have zero substantial evidence to suggest Kaepernick's arm is stronger than Newton's. you sat around your house one day watching footbal, fanboyed over it, and took some extreme opinion without any factual backing and are now resorting to false objectivity and a persecution complex to try and cover your tail.

there is no evidence to support your claim. none. isolating one stupid play that you spontaneously elected to fawn over isnt evidence lol.

Yea he is throwing to Anquan, Crabtree, Vernon Davis....

Cam is throwing to 34 year old smitty...

Cam every day of the damn week

Just give us Crabtree and Cam would eclipse 4,500 yds every year

I think they are even with Cam having a 100x faster release

LOL... More like 260 feet. You're an idiot if you think that guy is 260 yards away... I'm a golfer and that is definitely a lob wedge distance, not driver. I'll give him 90 yards, plus it's off a rooftop.

When I get to my computer I will gif the buffalo throw to Ginn and the throw to Davis and we will see. Aside from throwing a baseball 92 mph, there is not much evidence and there is no software I have to measure ball speed so I'll try my best at these conversions for you.

Zero substantial evidence and a complex? Did you just finish psych 111? You should ask yourself why your panties all of a sudden bunched up when you read that someone had a stronger arm then Cam. It's really not a huge deal as they both have more than adequate arm strength. For the record I was born in 1991 and the only team I've grown up with is Carolina so don't even get started on the objectivity crap.

I actually like Colt. Y'all should have went to the Super Bowl with Alex Smith two years ago.

I don't think you quite understand. You can waste your time digging up gifs buts it's only going to make me laugh. That you are so resolute in this because "ZOMG CLEARLY U DIDNT SEE TEH PLAY QUiT BEIN A HOMER!" Is nothing but an indicator that you have nothing to actually back your claim.

And no, having zero substantial evidence has nothing to do with a psych evaluation, it's an observation of the fact that you have *zero substantial evidence*

Now I await yet another "BUT I DO HAVE EVIDENCE ILL SHOW YOU THAT PLAY I SAW IN THE TV IN THAT ONE GAME THAT ONE WEEK THST TIME JUST ACCEPT MY PROOF"
