What 49ers Fans are Saying

Whats funny about 49ers fans is that they fail to mention that they were on a 5 game winning streak at the time too....

And were stomping people. There QB had has best rating of the year, etc.

Somehow they think Crabtree with some decent games against Atl, Tampa, GB makes them hotter now. Crabtree doing work against the "powerhouses" has gone to there heads. There were scarier last time. Now Kapernick's flaws are more glaring this time around

Yes, but we were coming off of a bye.

Which, at the time I thought would help us because of injuries but it probably was a contributing factor to us losing (as many of you eluded to, pre week 10.)

This time its the Panthers coming off of a bye. So maybe it has the same detrimental effect as it had on us.

I would venture to say a hot teams chance of losing steam is much higher once they take a week off rather than continuous play.

No way we were hotter during our first meeting.

We just came off of a bye.

Aldon Smith just came back from rehab with limited snaps

Crabtree was out

VD left after the 2nd quarter from slamming his head on the field

The list and excuses goes on.

We were severely hobbled and yall came away with a 1 point victory. Kap played like crap but so did Cam aside from making a couple clutch 3rd down completions. We will definitely put up more points this time around. Staley shut out the infamous "Kraken." Was he playing hurt or did Staley just do a good job? This is no knock at Hardy, because Staley is a stud LT.

Since when did coming off a bye week become detrimental to a teams success?

Also, you forgot to mention it was at YOUR HOUSE.

Sometimes I feel like the media and the 9ers fans are trying to convince themselves they are a better team.

I think it can easily go both ways, depending on many factors.

When I was here posting about our week 10 match up, many of you were saying that the bye week was probably going to hurt us more than help us.

By both ways you mean:

A. If 9ers lose the bye was beneficial to the Panthers.

B. When the 9ers lost week 10 the bye week was not beneficial for the 9ers.

Am I doing this right?

Cam has had better years, but this year I think they are even. The numbers do not lie. They are almost identical. Cam has a couple more TDs, but also more INTs. Everything is about even.

Olsen isn't close to Davis. Don't kid yourself. Vernon has more yards on less attempts and 7 more TDs. There is no argument.

Olsen, Ginn, and Lafell are all totally different players than Davis, Crabtree, and Boldin. I would take a healthy Stewart in your offense over Gore. Dude can be a straight wrecking ball with a stiff arm the Heisman trophy envys. Too bad he has to "listen to his body" and not be healthy.

Kap and Cam are also two different players. Kap has the stronger arm and is faster but Cam, as evidenced in the throw against the Saints, will get his facemask grabbed in the pocket and deliver a 30 yard strike simultaneously. Kap just needs too much room to throw at this point.

If Kap spends time at the Madden Passing Academy or with George Whitfield to shore up his pocket presence then he could be one of the best in the league. At this point there are the between elite, and the young gun elite, which Kap and Cam are both apart of.

Exactly.

Now, here is to hoping that the bye week it detrimental to the Panthers!

Lmao Davis is hardly the most dangerous TE in the nfl he isn't as good as Jimmy Graham or Gronk

In fact guess what his star line was last time we played in almost two quarters of action 1 catch for two yards! He also had anther catch that should have been a fumble and no gain... (I'm terrified right now! Oh no not Davis!)

I think your boy kaep is actually worse off with more options considering he never gets past his second read....

Find me a faster TE who rarely ever drops a pass. I guess him being an All Pro didnt mean much? Graham is very good but benefits from his stellar pass game.  Anyway doubt Davis at your own peril, he's a touchdown machine scoring in 7 of the past 8 games hes played in.  Yes he didnt play well against carolina because he spent most of the game on the sideline.  Good luck making that happen again.

Kap has  passed for more yards and a higher completion percentage this season since Crabtree came back. Seems his having more options has helped thus far.

I don't think Kap has a stronger arm. He has to wind up for a baseball throw. Cam can flick his wrist with his lower body not set and throw a rope downfield.

Cam's strength shows in non ideal scenarios
