What 49ers Fans are Saying

49ers are a very strong road team. Already 1-0 in the playoffs this year, and Harbaugh's 49ers are undefeated on the road in the playoffs , stemming over three seasons. You may be good at home, but I dont know that it'll necessarily be an actual advantage; 49ers tend to play very well on the road unless youre in Seattle. They should have been 7-1 on the road if not for a bad call on a fumble that would have ended the game in the 49ers favor @ Nawlins

As far as last game goes, it was 10-9. Both teams struggled on offense. Carolina had one sustained drive of 80 yards resulting in that touchdown then scored one final time because they got the ball in 49er territory. The rest of the game was a dogfight, just like Sundays game will be. 49ers have a stout D that just held All Pro Rodgers to 177 yards, and they havent allowed a single 100 yard rusher all year.

Now the 49ers have returned All Pro Davis who didnt play last game, Crabtree who is making all the difference in the world. The inclusion of these two guys has to mean something; whether its keeping your D from double covering Boldin all day, or just getting Davis and Crabtree involved so they can make a spectacular play to put them over the top. At any rate, this is not the same 49ers you met in November, and now they have all this confidence stemming from last week's victory.

You almost lost to GB, an 8 win team, with a bad defense, who lost even more guys on D as that game went on......that game in itself isn't showing that you are a dominant team on the road right now.

And Davis played last time....he had to "ice up, son" when he got knocked out. Also, if the refs (which none seem to be these days) were decent you only would have had 6 pts and not 9....bc Vernon Davis fumbled it.

As for them being hot and confident.....they were last time. Win streak, big points, great QB rating, etc. That didn't matter. Issue for you is Kapernick vs our D. Issue for your WR/TE talent is they have to depend on him vs this D

This is full of problems.....

1) You're 1-0 in the playoffs already because you didn't earn a bye.  We did....

2)  why would us being 7-1, playing in front of our fans, not traveling to the opposite coast to play a 10am game (your time) NOT be an advantage?

3) Thank you for your "shoulda been" example.  We have several of those from this season, too.

4) YOu gave up 109 rushing yards to us last game.  We have four players who run the ball.  Saying you didn't give up 100 to one rusher is meaningless.  I don't think we've had one RB go for 100 yards this year, but we can run the ball

5) Davis did play last game.  We knocked him the fug out.

6) Crabtree won't make a difference when Kap doesn't have time to throw the ball.  NEWSFLASH: 91 passing yards wasn't because he didn't have a receiver out there.

Get your poo together and come back when you can make some points that make sense.

All good points. How much better has the 49ers passing game improved simce Crabtree returned. Some SF fans are acting like Kaep and Crabtree are the second coming of  Montana  and Rice.

They're average 8 less points a game since we played them the first time.  BUT......"they're so hot right now and Kap is on FIRE".  GTFOH

<Stephen A. Smith voice> so disrespectful....

Calling Crabtree the greatest pass catcher in the history of the game? WTF. To make it even worse, this is the team Jerry Rice played for

Crabtree will get a catch or two...but I expect us to make him a non-factor between the pass rush and the fact that, though we cuss them at times, our secondary is decent. They CAN make some really good plays and cover good receivers.

I'm far more concerned with Davis than Crabtree.

1. The point is they had one, and already won.  They are very solid on the road and that includes playoffs. So your home field advantage wont be as advantageous as it would be if were say against the saints.

2. Because they are on eastern standard time right now, and have been since they left GB sunday.  Because road games are just another game for them.

3.  Just  illustrating my point of them being a good road team.

4. Williams led your team in rushing with 46 yards, 27 of which came on a single run. Stewart averaged 3 yards per carry for 41 yards, Newton ran for 15.  Rush yards will be hard to come by for anyone Sunday.

5. Yep, and he'll be back in, the most dangerous tight end in the league.

6. combine Davis with Crabtree, and Kap looks like a good qb all the sudden.   He's another body to cover, and he catches almost everything. So with Davis & Crabtree out your secondary was able to double up on Boldin.  You dont think that makes a difference? You be crazy foo if you deny that.   Kap averaged 199 ypg this season, and 231 ypg since Crabtree came back. They are a different offense.  Lucky for you, your coaches understand this and has already said they expect a better offensive performance from the 49ers come Sunday.

Kap's issue is good defenses. SF was probably "hotter" before our last meeting.

100+ yards rushing is also 100 yards rushing. 1 RB or 3 RBs....no difference in yards. They don't mean less just bc more do it

Kap's yards may be up but they're scoring 8 less points a game since Crabtree is back.

We respect your team (even though you don't respect us) but we aren't scared of you. And we are going to punch you, not in the mouth, but repeatedly in the face. Sit back and use those terrible points you made to feel good about your team. No one outside of our fan base and team know what's about to happen to you on Sunday. But you are going to find out.....AGAIN

No way we were hotter during our first meeting.

We just came off of a bye.

Aldon Smith just came back from rehab with limited snaps

Crabtree was out

VD left after the 2nd quarter from slamming his head on the field

The list and excuses goes on.

We were severely hobbled and yall came away with a 1 point victory. Kap played like crap but so did Cam aside from making a couple clutch 3rd down completions. We will definitely put up more points this time around. Staley shut out the infamous "Kraken." Was he playing hurt or did Staley just do a good job? This is no knock at Hardy, because Staley is a stud LT.

Why do SF fans keep saying that VD didn't play?

He did play... until Mike Mitchell declared that there could be only one and took his head.

Crabtree is an amazing WR when he's got his hands open for the ball as opposed to feeling himself.

If we lose, it's because Silatolu, Norman, and Godfrey don't play... right?

Go back and look at the numbers.....you weren't barely beating teams. You were stomping teams and CK had a fantastic QB rating. The TEAM was hotter. Now your WR stats are better.

Our front is playing much better now vs then as well...Hardy in particular has been playing at a different level of late. He hadn't flipped the switch yet at the last meeting
