What 49ers Fans are Saying

We definitely don't have a MUCH better team. We match up pretty evenly across the board. I think the biggest difference is QB. Cam is much better than Kap at the moment. If Cam had Crabs, VD and Boldin....I don't even want to imagine.

Kap was drafted as a project some where in the second round. Whereas Cam was the #1 overall pick. I think Kap will be great in a couple of seasons though.

Biggest difference is in the disparity of each teams oline.  Your team got embarrassed last time and that kinda worries me, knowing that they will at least play a little better.  Our defenses are very similar but you guys are better in the back end.  I would take Cam 7 days a week over Kaep, but you guys do have better weapons in Davis, Boldin and Crabtree.  I wont make any silly predictions other than it should be an entertaining game.

Cam has had better years, but this year I think they are even.  The numbers do not lie.  They are almost identical.  Cam has a couple more TDs, but also more INTs.  Everything is about even.

Olsen isn't close to Davis.  Don't kid yourself.  Vernon has more yards on less attempts and 7 more TDs.  There is no argument.

There's nothing "identical" about them. Cam exceeded Colin in virtually every single passing category. he is the superior QB, don't kid yourself, blind homerism, etc.

And you claim others are homers?  Disappointing.

On one end you claim that the 49ers receiving targets are basically miles better than anything the Panthers have, then claim that Cam and Kap are even.  How is that even possible?  Hint: It's not.

Edit: and Cam hasn't had better years.  This is easily his best year.  Statistics are pretty much irrelevant.  Most of us have probably seen more of Kap than you have of Cam, so I understand if you don't have anything else to go on but the stats.

On Olsen, I still think he's close to Davis.  Not as good - but close.  I'm not talking about numbers here, but the abilities of the two guys.  Davis is faster, though, and that's where the primary difference lies imo.

The argument isn't moot.  Just pointing out the homerism that is being displayed.  Carolina fans can't seem to be objective.  If people really believe that Ginn is better than boldin or Olsen is better than Davis, then you have your answer why nobody is giving you pub.  Because its a joke.

Homer Panther fans on a Panther MB, that's just weird.

His weapons were better when Crabs came back.  I think you guys keep forgetting Crabs just got back.  Again, he just got back.  Steve Smith isn't shabby.  Olsen is agood TE, just not on Davis level, and Ginn isn't horrid.  He was with us, but thats another story.  Look at the numbers.  Thats all I am saying.  Cam has a higher completion %, but less yards per attempt, has more TDs by 3 but more INT by 5.  They are almost even.  Cam has less than 200 more yards on 57 more attempts.  They have been pretty damn even all year.  Not being a homer, just looking at facts.  I will give you that Cam has had better years than Kap.

Boldin over Ginn? Yeah right... Anquon is rarely open but always open, dude catches everything...

Davis over Olsen? Yeah, thats about right but Id still take Greg.. No need to compare stats, Olsen has been nursing a hurt foot all year. Vernon is a beast regardless...

Yous think its bad all them VA 49er fans poppin up here, try living in VA. Its almost as if half of the resident 'Skins fans converted, lots of 49er flags driving around. I get a smug satisfaction when I pull in front of them just to show the Panther logo on my truck...

This is going to be a tough game for both teams, our secondary will need to play lights out. Gore & Kaep arent going to be able to run like they want to, but we'll get burned if we let Colin's 1st read get loose...

Having Agent89 back will help tremendously, whether he cathces a ball or not, they cannot just let him go free. I do think Ginn will get a little something going, would love a few good returns, possibly house 1...

Is Cole back? Saw that the Canadian FarmBeast got some playing time last week...

Release the Kraken, release the Cameron, keep pounding for a Kaep pounding....

Do you think Smitty is better than Boldin?  That's the only way your argument makes sense if you think that Davis + Boldin = the same as Olsen + Smitty.  Because let's be honest, none of either of our teams receivers would be close to starting for any other team in the league (I'm excluding Crabs here since we're talking about when he was injured).

The reality is Cam is just better at reading the field and an all around better QB at this point in his career than Kap is.

HELLO this is a Carolina Panther forum....if you can't take homerism GTFO and go to your Santa Clara forum. We don't have any hospitality to opposing fans only violence

Please crush these guys into oblivion. I want to play you guys in the NFC championship, I think most Seahawks fans have a mutual respect for the Panthers because of how similar the teams are (amazing defenses, young up and coming QBs etc.).

All I have been hearing since yesterday from my 49er friends is how this game doesn't matter because you don't have WRs to beat them and Kaepernick is unstoppable right now.

We will try and do our part and repeat what we did to the saints this season. Would be a fun NFC championship game with arguably the 2 best defenses and RW vs Newton going at it.

Oh and get ready this week to hear about how many Super Bowls they have won.

You still have to get past the Saints.

I think you should, but I think it is a MUCH closer game this time.
