Where you been? And the first thing you found to join back up to comment on is Goddell taking away a day to have a kegger?

LOL...yeah, I couldnt stay away anymore. I HAD to voice my displeasure because I am sure Goodell will read this thread and change it back to Saturday. Especially after I said that he sucks.

A little more than a year ago we had two.

And 3 in 95!!!!!!!

My point is we have gone from exciting first days to boring first days. Mix that with the new scheduling we are going to have a non existent first day this year going into the draft.

The real point is that there are 31 other teams in the draft and their fan base might be interested. And many Panthers fans may be interested as well in who the other teams pick. It's all about us, but then again, not so much, I'll watch...

I do like that sunday is out of the picture. I watch every second of the draft till the end, and sunday was always tough with church and all. Plus its good to have a day before i gotta go back to work.

I dont like it spread over three days though. I wish they would do rounds one and two on friday night, and the rest on saturday, just start early. But we will see how it goes.

Those who work those evening & night shifts will be missing the meat of the draft.

I'm like Inmicus, the tv is on but I'm not sitting in front of it. Can't do that Thursday & Friday nights. And I doubt the broadcasters will defer to the NFL draft like they do to American Idol and just run repeats.

" ... what is typically the most-watched night of television."
Yeah, duh, for a reason and that reason isn't the NFL. It's because of the standard programming. I hope to gawd that people are not thinking, "Gosh, it's Thursday and we have to watch tv no matter what is on. Oh look, NFL draft. Whoopee! We're saved!"

I don't like the change. ESPN probably talked them into it. :P

:frown2:
