Kaepernick Must Have a Short Memory

With your front 4, all the Panthers need to do is what Arizona did to Seattle a few weeks ago - use a conservative 4-man rush that does not allow Kaepernick to run free out of the pocket and drop the rest into coverage after ensuring it's a pass play. Use your fast linebackers to cover anyone out of the backfield man-to-man.

I've seen every game he has played since his freshman year in college. If you keep him hemmed in and uncomfortable he'll get his patented deer-in-the-headlights attitude going and his level of play will sink dramatically. With man-zone coverage he won't find any openings and will eat the sack, especially with your DE's who will not give him time to recover.

You have the players for it. Does your DC have the creativity?

You and all those like you don't get it, do you?

1. Vernon Davis started that game. He couldn't handle the physicality and proceeded to exit the stage.

2. Having Crabtree back has created a false sense of security for Kaepernick. Unless they call some off the wall play, Kap makes his first read to Crabtree and if he isn't open, Kap takes off and runs.

Davis handled it great today and played like the star he is

Having Crabtree back helped soften your coverage non bold in who destroyed you.

Aldon was back and in cams face too. Good game.

After Kaepernick and his offense has a hard time getting the job done against one of the worst defenses in the NFL, he makes it a point to talk a little poo heading into the game next week. He must have forgotten that our D held him to an anemic 91 passing yards, sacked him 6 times, and kept them from scoring a point in the 2nd half. He reminds me of the kid with the tough friends back in grade school. He's gonna do the talking, but he's gonna let everyone around him carry him to victories. It's time to put this twerp in his place!

I think he was right about Crabtree's return drawing coverage off of Boldin.

    • He's turned into quite a gunslinger
    • Hey guys, remember when we won those meaningless games in 2010 and it cost us the #1 pick and the chance to draft Cam? Oh.... right I get that's more of an extreme example because it got us a HOF caliber QB.  But it's the general concept, you want to win late season games when you have the pieces in place to make a run the next season, we currently are not in that place. Herbert and Sewell are the ones I point to so much, because we literally lost out on 2 franchise different makers by 1 draft slot.  Give us those two players while we still have CMC, Moore, and the rest of the picks we gave up for Bryce, and we'd have been a legit playoff contender the last few years. Draft position matters in the NFL more than any other sport (other than the #1 pick in the NBA in a year with a generational talent).
    • It’s so crazy. If we had a shot for pick 1 and there was some generational player there then yeah maybe I could get behind the draft position argument. I’d say most GMs and coaches aren’t diving into the draft right now. They are trying to win games.
