That 10 points a game bullshit while the D dominates will not work. We need to put up atleast 28. Atleast. This is playoff football. We saw what happen with KC great defense. They wore down because the offense could not establish any rhythm. Something we have had a problem with all season.

I thought it was because they were dropping like flies? My bad...

 

Also the Chiefs' offense did put up 44 points, and they still lost thanks to their DEFENSE allowing the Colts to score more. I think your thread is more directed at the Panthers' defense and not so much the Offense. Unless u want the Offense to put up 100 points and pray the other team don't put up 101?

 

Remember in football, Offense put up #s and Defense wins games. That reality has not changed much.

It's the playoffs EVERYONE has to play big. It's as simple as that.

I was a little disappointed when RR admitted he was coaching for the field goal at the end of the last Saints game ( see panther talk podcast for that week)

I will never understand playing for ot when you can get the win on one drive.

NO...Defense WINS games. Offense puts up POINTS. There is a reason why those in the media always bitch about their chosen teams weak defense. Case in point the Cowboys. A team can get by with a decent offense. Heck a damn team can get into and win a SB with a decent offense. But, a weak or non-existing defense means a very long and miserable season with an early vacation.

 

As a matter of fact, had the Panthers defense showed up just a bit more when Cam joined, this team would have been in the play-offs from 2011. those four or five games they squandered could have made the difference having a chance, vs the early exists in the first two season of his young NFL career. 

 

I know you Panther fans LOVE putting endless and unrealistic pressure on your offense but let's be real here, they were 100 times better in season 2011 and 2012, and is doing their part despite... this season.

 

Also, when are you going to make your Offense more than just what Cam can, can't, and should do? Where is the consistency or the demand for consistency with the rest of the Offense? Your team's Offense have been utilizing every ounce of this kid's talent and athleticism for the past three seasons. When are you going to get serious and demand MORE from everyone instead of just being all concerned with everything Cam does?

That's not a knock on Cam. It's more a reflection of how well Flacco played. Now of course (and I recognize this), Flacco had much more play makers to throw to than Cam.....Agreed!!

they were tied for 5th in the league in scoring defense.

Are you cams girlfriend or something??? Just wondering with the way you get all defensive if someone says anything about cam at all.

Everyone here besides the trolls knows cam is a good qb. Just because someone says he made a mistake does not take away from that and nobody in this thread said it was all cams fault the offense has struggled lately.

They absolutely need to worry about this game.

 

The offense has been sinking for many weeks now. If we play San Fran it won't be pretty.

 

 

We need Green Bay down here so the offense can get some confidence going.

Yeah lets forget that with the exception of Atlanta the defenses we have faced recently have been very tough which makes scoring harder. Didn't  we go 7-1 at home and only lose to new Orleans at their home where they are 8-0.  And don't we worry about every game and every team?

 

If we play San Fran it will be much like the last game, tough throughout determined by turnovers or a few plays going one way or the other.  Just like it does every week.
