No we cant. Position coach to DC is not lateral.

Washington is the DL coach...DC is not a lateral move.

Several years ago, the NFL decided to allow teams to block assistant coaches under contract from taking a promotion with another team, unless the position offered is head coach.

This argument comes up every year. There is only two coaching positions in the NFL, under the NFL rule. Head Coach and Assistant Coach. A position coach falls under the realm of, guess what, not a head coach. The rule states that anyone moving from position coach to another Assistant Coach position, is a lateral move, and thus, can be blocked.

I think some of what holds Hue back is his personality. He's a little out there.

(viewers of 'Hard Knocks' probably know what I mean)

Possibly, but if Rex Ryan can hold a job and Rob Ryan can get interviews for head coaching gigs, then I think the NFL owners are willing to take chances.

If we go deep in the playoffs, McD won't have a lot of suitors due to the time crunch.

I also don't believe that he's in the drivers seat for the Wash job since RG3 is having a say in the new HC.

I think it's probably going to be an offensive minded coach with a history of coaching up QB's.

The 'skins are a trainwreck with RG3 & Snider running the show.. It is to laugh..
