Ward just gave up 3 goals on 9 shots and was benched. lol Nice try Muller, but your favorite just flat out sucks. All we can do now is just stick with Anton and build his confidence instead of ruining it by benching him every time we lose when he is in net.

It's not hard. He has stated he's open to being traded. Won't get much of a return, but if somebody is willing to take his contract, we need to ship his ass. He's tying up cap space and that puts us at risk for retaining some of our young talent in the next couple of years.


Fun fact: Doby and Peters got us 22 of our wins. If we start Doby and Peters in place of Ward for his games (20 of them), and if we win 13 of those (very plausible. Likely, even), we're firmly in contention for the wildcard.


Ward is the problem. Ward needs to go. Ward better not see the ice for the rest of the year (but he will). Remember at the start of the season (I think our first 6 games?) when Ward started 4, and lost, and in between a couple of those, Doby started and won? Well, that's been the story all season.

I don't know if it's a nagging injury or what but he's just not been right for a couple of years now.  Even those miraculous saves he had against Winnipeg were lucky, just happened to snag it with his stick.  Granted the defense wasn't doing him any favors.

Our coach just took a huge poo on our last chance at playoffs by starting ward last night... can't wait to show him the door..
