I can almost guarantee if Dobby is traded and we stick with Ward as the starter, he will lose a really big chunk of the fanbase

 

 

Not really much of an option at this point, if they trade Ward they don't have a goaltender for next season under contract. The team unless they move Ward won't have the money to resign Doby. So most likely you're looking at Ward and Peters/FA next season because of the cap situation with the team.

 

21 million to spend and 14 players to sign to fill out the roster next season. Down to 4 defensemen, 1 goalie and 8 forwards under contract next season. So unless they can find somewhere to move Ruutu or Ward, they don't have a lot of wiggle room to spend good money on Goalie past Ward next off season.

 

Doby is already all but gone based on the way he's played.

Doby looked really good tonight vs Flordia. Neither goal was directly on him, the first was the Defense for failing to clear. The second he had no chance on, too much traffic in front of him.

Figured I'd post this here since we were talking about it.

 

 

The biggest obstacle to Ward being traded has been hurdled, he's said he'd be willing to waive his NTC on his contract if a trade came up.

Ward is still a good goalie, but has not been nearly as great or consistent after he started suffering injuries.

Pretty much my reaction when I tune in and see #30 in net.

We're starting Ward again in net and it's 3-0 Anaheim at the end of the 1st lol. fug Muller and JR. Making the goaltending about Ward's contract instead of what's best for the team.

I love how they put their most dynamic scorer on the second line, and put a rookie on the first.

So who are the top draft prospects in the upcoming draft? I haven't been paying much attention to the draft prospects so far.

I kept telling everyone that no matter how well AK would do, when Ward was fully healthy he would be the starter and at worst they would split. The only way that changes if it Ward suddenly becomes unhealthy again and it's because of  

 

1. His contract

2. His legacy with the team and the cup.

 

There is the outside chance that he's traded, but I think it's more likely Peters or AK that get traded. 

Not that I agree because of how well AK has played, but I have no control of it. Hopefully it leads to a real nice player that can really help the team next season.
