Because he may or may not of stayed at school to avoid coming to Carolina because the lucks and the Richardson's don't like each other but and I admit I was one of those guys but the guy balled hard today and I gotta give him his props. Plus its good to see that douchcanoe Alex smith lose because of the poo he said about cam and the panthers.

I don't hate him.  I don't blame him one bit for not wanting to come here.  When he decided to stay in school the Panthers were a dumpster fire.  Nobody knew the kind of turn around that was going to happen.  Luck is gonna be great.  But I'm more than happy with Cam.

I was pissed when Luck stayed in school but really like the way he plays football.  I blame Richardson and the dysfunction surrounding our team more than Luck for not wanting to come here...

KC certainly choked to death in that game though.

I was truly amazed watching Andrew Luck motivate his team back from a 28 point deficit at half. Even after throwing 3 interceptions (mostly his fault)

he was rallying his guys and shouting encouragement to both offense and defense. I wish Cam would would take a lesson from Andrew and not sit with a towel over his head sitting by himself when he is having a bad game. The sign of a true leader is to encourage your team ESPECIALLY when things are not going your way.

This thread wasn't even really necessary.  No offense to the thread starter.

We've all congratulated Luck and Colts in the playoff thread.  Those who criticized him, almost all have went and said he came through with a clutch performance.

    • Your assumptions about rookies coming in above average is unrealistic and not supported by our history. When have we had 3 rookies drafted who were above average out of the gate. Even in 2001 which may be our best draft ever, Morgan, Smith and  Jenkins were not all above average as rookies.  Secondly you admit that rookies don't shine until well into the year if at all. And no all 4 of them were not above average. starters in the second half when they were injured or struggled like Legette to catch the ball. He surely wasnt even average. Coker played due to injuries to Theilen for example. Otherwise he would have been a role player.  Also how many guys started on the defense last year  who won't be here this year? I agree the offense will be better when we add an RB and a upgrade at TE along with another wide receiver. But I don't agree that rookies will take us to the playoffs. Vets with experience will, with rookies being backups until they are ready to play. If a team has multiple rookies starting and they make the playoffs it would be rare to start with and likely because they have solid vets and and a quality quarterback. If you are starting multiple rookies you are either really bad, have a dearth of talent or both. I think the playoffs could be possible if Bryce picks up where he left off and our defense is much better. But no I don't want any rookie starting if we can avoid it. I like them as rotational players until they are ready to start. I will agree with the premise that with a lot of work, upgrade in talent, lack of injuries and some good luck we could be a playoff team but we better have huge free  agency success as well as a solid draft to get there
    • We have more holes than a lesbian gangbang!
    • I like both of these guys but the more I hear sensationalist commentary on James Pearce jr the more intrigued I become. he’s the only other “clean” edge rushing prospect in this class, he comes out and destroys the combine and the immediate “leaks” are “yeah, no, not even a first rounder.” that’s suspicious to me. He was talked about as a possible number one overall pick coming into the season. He put up major production. He’s tremendously athletically gifted. Those guys don’t last until round 2. in any case I just want the team to gauge his personality for themselves and not make any hive mind decisions regarding him, this is absolutely the kind of thing where we pass on him and fancy ourselves really clever up until the moment Philly runs the card in to take him at record speed.
