A thought while looking at KC's offense.

I don't believe that Smith is necessarily a system QB.  He improvises way too much to try and put him into a box. Yesterday, he looked like Cam lite. Some of it was play calling for sure, but some of it was just him seizing his spots, and trying to win.  All of this is besides my point, which is that I believe that Cam would do pretty well in their "system", and that we need to incorporate some of their philosophy into our play calling.  Our offense would absolutely look better at their game than they did, and would compliment our defense perfectly.

How did you know he was high?

Because I've been high before. Can I get an amen? But seriously, it's the only explanation I have. Since I posted that on here last night I've heard multiple analyst chastise his lack of awareness and use of his size to go straight up for that ball instead of fading out of bounds

Other than that he played well. The whole game made me glad to be a Panthers game though. Take a wye from Jim Mora's playoff tirade and change it up: " defense? Defense? Don't talk about defense. Defense?"

Alex Smith was getting disrespected in the running game. They wouldn't let Cam run free like that. I could see Cam doing well in an Andy Reid offense but it helps to have a great offensive line. I would like to think a clean pocket would improve Cam's accuracy. We have seen glimpses of it.

The other thing to keep in mind is the Chiefs don't always look that good. They lost 6 games this season.

Eeehhh...that's a reach.

I've seen plenty of good players have bad plays and bad games without being on drugs.

Marijuana is hardly a drug. The fact of the matter is long-term use can lead to short term memory loss and one can assume lapses of concentration. Can we attribute his lack of concentration in this instance to pot? No.

He is a good player and just happened to make a mistake on one play that could've won it for the Chiefs. The ought the game there were countless other opportunities. On the topic of the thread, Shula is not and will never be Andy Reid.

I think that mistake had way more to do with how the corner was covering him than any impairment on his part.
