A thought while looking at KC's offense.

At the moment (in the 4th), it's not going exactly well for the Chiefs, but I think that's more about lack of execution than anything else. But, especially for those with DVRs who care to do so, I am thinking that their offensive play calls would be perfect for us...that is if Shula is going to continue to champion Cam being a game manager. I don't know if KC's O-line is ranked better than ours, but they haven't looked all that great in this game, and Smith has eaten The Colts' defense up with his legs and those shorter ball control passes. They've sprinkled in just enough shots down the field, used those crossing routes across the middle with precision, and have thrown in a few passes to their backs.  Yeah, it could be Smith making them look effective, but I am thinking that Cam (and our offensive personnel) can do it better. I hope that Shula is taking notes.

Alex Smith seems to throw on target downfield. I don't understand the hate for his downfield throwing ability after this game. If Dwayne Bowe wasn't high as a kite he would remember it was 4th down and he needed to keep his foot in bounds.

A better throw and he would have been in bounds. IT was tight coverage and he had to reach back for the ball. Kinda hard to stay in bounds when you are that close to the sidelines an have to adjust to the ball with a defender on you.

Always account for Andy Reid's system when you judge a QB.

Reid runs a very QB friendly offense.  Every one he's ever coached has looked awful if they've gone to any other team.

Alex Smith didn't look awful last year, either.  So I don't think that's a good explanation for him.

lol what? What does height have to do with anything???? The ball was behind him.....

That if Dwayne Bowe was worth the money he gets, he would have the presence of mind to understand the situation and make a better attempt to get his feet closer together. He had length advantage over the DB and it showed. Alshon Jeffrey made that catch several times this year.
