One last thing about his defense. The only reason why Luck had so many 4th Quarter comebacks his rookie season was because the opposing offenses could not score in the 4th/ on the critical drives to take the lead.

 

The same thing happened tonight. If Smith was able to get just one more drive for a TD in all likelihood, the Colts lose.

 

But I am not going to knock Luck's performance all that much. Great game.

 

I just knock the people on here who would be livid about 3 INTS from Cam.

 

Alex Smith is trash....he literally missed the game winning play twice that game...

 

One was on a throw to his RB which would have been for 7 to put htem up 17 again with 14mins left in the game.

 

The other was the last throw to Bowe...Bowe was open and he threw the ball too far out of bounds....if they make that they can run the clock down and kick the GW FG.....

 

Choke artists over there.....but that doesn't take away from the plays the non chokers actually made....in this case Luck and TY Hilton.

I am not going to knock someone with Luck's game, and I am certainly not going to knock's Smith when he lost nearly all of his offense to injury.

Yep...he led an offense that put up 44 points.  Not his fault the defense was an absolutel joke.

Cam's 4th quarter come backs would double if Cam's defense could hold onto the lead when he exited the field. Chicago, the Bucs, and Atlanta last year. The Bills this year.

Every player will have one or two great performances in their lifetime. This is a professional league where everyone gets paid millions. No one should get a trophy for completing a pass or have a good game. This was just two teams that didn't want to win playing each other. I'm sure next week is where you'll have teams that want to win playing each other. Big difference. Like I said before, wild card games are equivalent to non-BCS bowl games because the title game feel so far away. Both teams are just willing to throw away the towel and get ready for next year. The week after the wild card week is when everything gets real. Now it's just 1 win to the conference title. Good game by Luck though. I guess it's not the week where he throws 3 INTs and get blown out.

Luck is one crazy lucky dude, isn't he? Always some crazy poo happening around him that works on his favor. Better lucky than good, I guess.

Many do not realize how incredibly clutch his defense is. Luck is a wonderful football player and QB. I have never said otherwise. But the pass given to him by BOTH fans and the media is disturbing. 

 

This is true. 

 

Even last year, the Indy defense bailed Luck out of his many late game mistakes and turnovers, by getting the ball back (via quick stops or turnovers). 

 

And while Cam had many "would be game winning and 4th qtr drives", that were removed due to his defense not holding them. On the contrary, the Indiana defense (no matter where they were rated), always found a way to hold on to late leads, no matter how poorly they were playing up until that point, securing Luck a fourth qtr drive. They didn't blow any, once Luck got the lead late.
