So I was bored and looking at mock drafts...

Beason took a paycut and asked for a trade.

Clear difference.

Beason comments don't mesh with that though....nor did the ones by his close teammates like TD.

I think DG got rid of a very expensive body that simply didn't do a great deal nor was part of the plan going forward.

Regardless, G-Man will have to convince Stewart to destroy his contract. I don't see that happening.

The only thing we can hope for is that Stewart, starts to feel guilty walking into the building everyday while not contributing. Plus holding the team back due to his contract and agrees to re work his contract. Long shot I know, and who am I to say he hasn't earned this money, he's still young and his lower body is shot.

My question would be.....what changes/additions were actually made in the restructure Stewart made THIS year.

I think people overlook that. It didn't help the cap so I assume it contains some things not yet leaked out

If it didn't contain some wiggle room for DG then it would have been an utterly pointless restructure and I don't DG touched it this year for no reason

My biggest concern is Greg Hardy.

We really need to sign him, and if that happens, it may mean that other quality expensive players may have to go. If that is the case, we may need to consider a scenario where we will have to replace someone that we fans expected to be resigned.

I think fixing our O takes priority over Hardy.

Goes back to investing in strengths and letting weaknesses get weaker....we can't continue doing it

The only problem with your sceniro and WalterFootBall's is that we are presently stuck with Stewart's and Williams big contracts. and it looks like we have to keep both of them at the present time.

Until we can somehow (the big question) get rid of said contracts, it would be foolish to tie up even more money at RB using a high draft choice when we are good to go there and need WR,OL and DB help.

I doubt very seriously that they would pull the trigger on an early round RB unless there was a plan in place to either unload the contracts....or DLO and JStew have already agreed to a serious restructure.  But hypothetically if they did....I would not be upset with draft a rb.
